I recently took my family to Officine Farneto Bistrot for a Saturday brunch, and it turned out to be a brilliant way to spend time together while indulging in a good meal. Officine Farneto Bistrot has a truly unforgettable vibe—imagine a blend of industrial chic and charming Roman greenery. Nestled inside a repurposed factory near Monte Mario in Rome, the place boasts a spacious layout with high ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows that flood the interior with natural light. It’s the venue where you could easily host a design workshop or even a wedding, feeling right at home in either scenario. Its slightly off-the-beaten-path location adds to its charm. While it's not far from the Foro Italico area, getting there from central Rome is just a short drive or a quick taxi ride. Finding parking can be tricky during peak hours due to a nearby riding school, but the serene, green ambience is a lovely escape from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. The brunch offerings are both generous and thoughtfully curated. Expect a delightful mix of sweet and savoury choices—imagine crispy bacon, various potato dishes, and a selection of cold cuts. The cookies are delicious, and the cakes have that nostalgic smell reminiscent of Grandma's kitchen. There's also a live cooking station, which adds a bit of excitement to the experience. The staff recommended the freshly made pasta, particularly the Amatriciana, which was a highlight for us. As for drinks, they serve fresh juices, coffee and whatever is needed for a proper brunch. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, ready to help if you are a little puzzled by the buffet options (which I certainly was, twice). There was just one small point to note: the music played by the smart speaker didn’t quite fit the atmosphere. In family-friendly venues, the lively chatter of kids serves as the perfect soundtrack for the dining experience.

09/09/2025: I rate this hotel very highly – clean and nice rooms, a large balcony, and reading other reviews, everything worked, and the toilet worked. The room was air-conditioned and had a window. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, served buffet-style, but the waitress brought our chosen items to the plate, ensuring order and cleanliness. Breakfast offers both sweet and savory options – from simple sandwiches to cakes and fruit. The location is excellent, close to the beach, where you can rent sunbeds (two sunbeds and an umbrella for 14 euros per day). However, you can also use the nearby public beach without sunbeds. The beach is very well-maintained and clean. Near the hotel are two small markets, a promenade, and a bus stop. However, we noticed that the part of town where the hotel is located is quieter, while the part near the Old Town and the Ferris wheel is noisier, more party-oriented, and more crowded. The only major downside was the lack of information about the pool closure. I think they should have informed the booking process that the pool will be closed when booking in September. We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the sea and the pool. No one at reception informed us about this either. Only when we went there ourselves and saw the pool was covered did we ask if it was already closed, and we were told it was because it was too cold. We stayed from September 3rd to 6th, and other hotels still had their pools open, and the temperature was around 30°C. The jacuzzi was also closed, which is understandable, as it's better to use a hot tub when it's "cooler." Apart from that, everything was top-notch.
07/09/2025: We booked three nights on Agoda at a reduced rate, but the full price is truly excessive compared to what the hotel offers, which exhibits no 4-star features, both inside and out. It's an old hotel with basic amenities. Furthermore, it's a serious flaw to advertise it as a hotel with a pool when the pool was already closed on September 3rd. The same goes for the rooftop terrace. The category also affects the tourist tax, which is a hefty €4 per person per day. The staff is courteous. We're not dissatisfied, but we won't be returning.

06/10/2025: I like coming here on weekends even though it's very chaotic. A word about the managers' lack of professionalism. Yesterday at the bar I witnessed the manager go crazy, yelling left and right, embarrassing the workers. The poke is very good, and the selection of ingredients is varied.
27/09/2025: There may be some good things, but the tonnarelli cacio e pepe are inedible. I can taste the cheese.
