We went on a Friday evening, and the place was half full. There were three of us and we had reservations.
We ordered three appetizers to share and three first courses.
The appetizers arrived almost immediately, but over an hour passed between the appetizers and the first course. Definitely too long.
The staff was helpful and courteous, and the dishes weren't bad. The bill was a bit high for the size of the place. I recommend better insulating the room, as there are a lot of drafts of cold air coming in from outside.

After being there at least three times, with family and friends, the time has come to leave my review.
A very homey place, with an atmosphere reminiscent of Valtellina.
We ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, all very good and fresh.
Next came the cassœula and the guinea fowl soup; as a side dish, a truly excellent polenta with gorgonzola.
To finish, a mascarpone cream with flakes and berries, truly delicious.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant both for the quality of the cuisine and for the courtesy of the waiters, all very friendly (and I might add, very young).

Highly recommended! This place is worth visiting, even several times a year, I'd say, and if possible, for different occasions.
The only flaws might be the parking and perhaps the safety of the roadside, right next to the veranda, but these are probably issues that would probably involve the municipality.
Aside from the exterior, the veranda of this inn-refuge is incredibly welcoming, well-maintained and super heated 🔝 (visiting in winter ❄️✨)
The quality of the delicacies served is beyond question, and there aren't even words to describe how satisfied you are with what you taste inside!!! Everything is delicious and authentic 🤤😋 🍽️ succulent dishes, cooked by people who know their job.
A wonderful discovery. Try it and believe it.

Barzaghin is synonymous with quality and cheerfulness; every dish tells a story and is made with care. The staff is wonderful and cheerful. The atmosphere is fun and cheerful. Their charcuterie boards, cheeses, and polenta are to die for. Their desserts, too, are well-crafted and exquisite. It's truly delicious, definitely worth a try.

Small but welcoming and well-kept.
The staff was friendly and attentive. I had a variety of experiences with the food, both at lunch and dinner. Some dishes were very good, while others needed a little tweaking.
Overall, however, it was pleasant.
The only downside is getting to the bathroom (with the cold these days, having to go out and cross the courtyard—if you're on the veranda—to get there becomes quite difficult).
Prices, however, are average.

Excellent Lombard osteria!
Il Barzaghin is a truly rustic osteria, welcoming and authentic. Traditional Lombard cuisine made the way it used to be.
The pizzoccheri are truly excellent, well-seasoned and flavorful, and the cassoeula is spectacular, rich and delicious. Generous portions, fair prices, and friendly service.
Highly recommended for those who love tradition and authentic flavors. I'll definitely be back!

Good evening, I'm a well-known patron of the bar, not the restaurant. I'd like to add a note to a recent negative comment: I'm not discussing prices, but the rude, sarcastic, and fast service. I recommend arriving half an hour earlier than your reservation, having a spritz at the bar, meeting the entire staff, and chatting with them. Afterward, we can sit down; we'll realize it's not as it seems. On the other hand, if the comment relates to a typical evening like December 24th, perhaps there was a bit of a rush, not to mention that without comparisons, the person in the dining room who was busy with work would automatically be called out. We will improve, we'll do it as a good resolution for 2026: improve ourselves: each of us can lend a hand, even with a small idea, a hint of madness; it really doesn't take much. On the other hand, as long as everything is going well, there's nothing to fix. In my opinion, the wait staff knows their job better than those who teach it to them, and the attention—and I emphasize, the attention and care they show towards all of us (for better or worse, as it may seem, because they're all just impressions, or rather, processes of our minds)—is their commitment reciprocated by the satisfaction of wanting us happily seated at the tables or standing at the bar, always—and I emphasize always—at our complete disposal for everything, and I emphasize, for everything. A very casual place with some updating to do, the food is good and plentiful. Tables are a bit close together, but that's part of the family atmosphere. Definitely worth trying outside of holidays for a more relaxed meal. The staff is knowledgeable, quick, and always smiling. The price is fair for the quality.
