A lovely osteria on a side street behind the Palazzo Vecchio. We shared an appetizer plate with local cheeses, ham, and salami – delicious. It was accompanied by a delicious house red wine. For main course, we had the local specialty, pici – thick spaghetti shaped like udon noodles. We had it once with wild boar ragu and once as carbonara – both highly recommended. To top it off, we had lemon sorbet – a creamy temptation. And all at a very reasonable price – we were extremely satisfied and would return anytime.

Authentic Italian cuisine, close to tourist areas, but with a menu in Italian only. A restaurant that's been open and run by the same owner for 30 years. If you're looking for good food, I recommend it.
It's also inexpensive for the city (e.g., pasta carbonara €12 vs. €15-18 everywhere else).

Hands down the best food we've found in Florence. Wonderful small restaurant where the owner cooks and serves. Super authentic. The tiramisu is absolutely phenomenal. I can't recommend this place enough
