This little restaurant, hidden in an alleyway a few hundred meters from Piazza Santa Croce, is the best we've had during our week-long vacation. Everything is excellent!

Food was excellent, service was the worst we've had in Italy. I ate here 10 years ago and thought it serendipitous that my husband and I managed to book an apartment for a week on the same street it was on. So naturally I wanted to bring him here! Much to our disappointment, it seemed our server was not very interested in us so it made our experience rather lackluster. Our food arrived quickly and everything was very tasty- but we were never offered dessert, or additional drinks, instead the server was either on his phone or talking to the other 2 tables. They were not busy. When we asked for our check, he dropped it off, and then proceeded to be on his phone, laugh and chat with the larger table near us or clean the table directly next to us for 10 minutes. Finally my husband just had to go up and ask to pay. Now I know some places in Italy, you pay up at a counter, but both tables we watched people pay at their tables- so who knows. But honestly it just felt like he didn't give two licks about us. Mind you we are polite and patient (ex service industry workers) but it just felt very dismissive. Who knows. I hope others have better experiences- I would think so with the 4.7 star rating. Would I recommend based on the food? Yes but honestly there are so many other places with better service - so....

The place was very well located for us as it was right next to our Carapelli apartment and we got a special discount because of that. The 1.6kg steak we ordered was incredible. Dessert was amazing, we recommend the tiramisu. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. We even got a complimentary limoncello at the end. We had a very good time as a family to say goodbye to this beautiful city of Florence.

Locale tipico Toscano nel centro di Firenze, in una via laterale, silenziosa e molto più suggestiva rispetto ai ristoranti in pieno corso. Menù vario e con tutti i piatti più rappresentativi della nostra cucina, dagli affettati e crostini con i fegatini, ai tortelli mugellani e pici con ragù e burrata. Menzione assolutamente speciale per la bistecca, tenera che si tagliava senza coltello e cotta perfettamente (al sangue, altrimenti si prende altro!!), oltretutto ad un prezzo che oramai dopo il covid non si trova più nemmeno in periferia!!! Ambiente piccolo e molto curato, ideale per una serata in piena tranquillità. Personale molto gentile ed educato. Offerti gli amari a fine cena. Super consigliato!!!!

Locale intimo e riservato, personale molto gentile e preparato. Cibo strepitoso sia per persone vegetariane come me, che per gli amanti della VERA bistecca fiorentina, come i miei amici. Abbiamo mangiato tantissimo e speso il giusto. Prezzi che non trovi più a giro. Complimenti a tutto il team, ci vediamo presto.
