There are sandwich shops and then there’s this. A truly unique joint. You’re in Italy at what is basically a permanent food truck/stand and all of their main sandwiches are named after famous “bandits” from the old west in America. Not what you’d expect. With a great location along the river and next to the park, there is some outdoor seating and a few seats along the end of the stand but expect that during the busy times, you are very unlikely to find a place to sit. We went a couple of times around dinner and both times, had to wait in line for a while (15-30 minutes) to get up to order. We tried several of their options but could not bring ourselves to try their most popular option - the Davey Crockett (tripe with peppers, salt, pepper and spicy oil). Lampredotto is a typical regional dish but the texture is just no something we were up for. Go for it if you’re feeling adventurous. We watched as we waited in line and they made more of theses than probably all the other options combined. Prices are cheap and you can get some fries and drinks (beer, soda, wine) to just hang out around the area and eat with the locals.
