One of the best places in Rome! The traditional dishes are carefully prepared and never disappoint: flavorful first courses, tasty second courses, and quality ingredients. You can taste the attention paid to the selection and pairings, everything cooked to perfection. The quality-price ratio is fair, and the atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for a dinner with friends or enjoying a home-cooked meal. I always love coming back! 🍝🍷

Looking for a restaurant that wasn't closed after 11 p.m., we stumbled upon this tavern, searching for some good meat. The atmosphere was very rustic, the staff was simply exquisite. I ate a tagliata of pure guduria, the meat as tender as butter. Unfortunately, due to the late hour, I didn't feel like trying dessert, but I did see some tiramisu going around, and I suggest returning as soon as possible to try the pasta dishes and the tempting arrosticini. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom, but that's okay.

The place is intimate and informal, and the service is quick and friendly. The potato and chicory side dishes were reheated, but I wasn't thrilled. I wasn't thrilled with the chicken cacciatore, nor with the house wine.

Welcoming place, good food The carbonara was too heavy in my opinion The crispy bacon was excellent, but I didn't taste the pepper very well. The zabaglione was excellent.

we had a recommendation from local, and man this place was amazing, friendly outgoing staff and excellent pasta; soaked in cheese, real deal, good local wine, extemely pleased.

Back for a second time, and I can confirm that Taverna i Torquati is a place where you feel at home and, above all, you eat well with the flavors of the past! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to appreciate authentic Roman cuisine or just have a pleasant evening.

An evening with friends. Fast and attentive service. We ordered charcuterie boards and buffalo mozzarella as an appetizer, and as main courses, various entrees including sliced ​​beef, meatballs, chicken slices, and more. Everything was very good. A casual place. I recommend it.

We arrived early, before the theater. They kindly found us a table even without a reservation. The pinsas were very good, as was the coda alla vaccinara with artichoke. Well done and delicious.

I received some bonus money on the website (you can see it on the photo attached to the review), and I decided to treat myself a little. I went to a restaurant, ordered pasta — and honestly, it was the best spontaneous dinner I’ve had in a while. Tasty, filling, and somehow cozy.

15/02/2026: The food is simple but remarkable. Its always a good choice. The servers are always very friendly and helpful, there was a certain gentleman as our server that I enjoyed the company of. The service is fast. Only problem is that the restaurant is pretty small and can accommodate a certain number of people at once, there is nearly always a line.
15/02/2026: Excellent!!! The service was excellent and very friendly (they speak a little French). The food was superb... The best pasta I had during my stay. A restaurant I absolutely recommend. Be sure to book ahead or arrive well before opening time.

17/01/2026: Ate her today while visiting Rome with wife and son. The food was overall good while the waiter was a bit brusque. At the end though we were charged the usual cover charge that Italian restaurants charge. This one charges a service charge of €1,50 per person and a bread charge of €7,00 for the table focaccia bread. So we were in the hole €11,50 already. Then they charged us a 10% tip. When my wife asked me how much to leave I said nothing but the waiter pointed at the Tapless pay machine saying 10% was the minimum. The machine showed 10-15-20%. So a rather enjoyable and tasty dinner left a sour taste in my mouth. Could I have argued about this tip? Did they see we were Americans used to the stupid tipping culture? Maybe but who wants to get stressed on vacation and argue after a long day of walking to beautiful sites? Just be aware if you go.
12/01/2026: Typical Roman classics. Everything was delicious. No crowds. Good service.
