23/06/2025: Fantastic location, comfortable beds, the restaurant manager was very kind. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful and if something runs out it is refilled immediately.
However, there are some flaws that cannot go unnoticed:
The rooms on the ground floor are really old, the doors look like those of a hospital and are all broken, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, they face inside so they are quiet during the night but very, very noisy in the morning, from 7 you start to hear the reception chatting loudly with the customers.
The welcome from the lady at the reception is not wonderful, it almost seems like she is doing you a favor by answering questions about any local information or regarding the "rules" of the hotel. A piece of advice: a smile and a little extra kindness always pays off.
As for parking, it's a lottery, there is basically one but for a few cars, a maximum of ten, so first come, first served (yes, you absolutely cannot book even if it is paid) and if you arrive late there is a car park nearby (full on peak days, such as Saturday and Sunday) at a cost of €6 (for the whole day) instead of €12 requested by the hotel.
I recommend it only for the truly fantastic location.
19/06/2025: Hotel overlooking the pedestrian promenade of Cecina Mare. Externally beautiful and impressive, the rooms a little dated and small, but clean and nothing is missing.
Excellent food, lots of fish, in a suggestive location overlooking the sea. Maitre Claudio and waitress very kind and helpful. The beach service, about 200 meters away, is offered in an excellent lido and equipped with all comforts (2 sunbeds and a director's chair for an umbrella).
Definitely positive experience, a piece of advice in my opinion: the packages with full board and beach service are at very good prices, but then you pay for drinks at the table 3 euros for 0.70 LT of microfiltered water. Better for me to pay a little more for full board and have at least water included, you feel less "robbed".
