The outside does not do justice to the place which appears welcoming and very well looked after inside.
The food is amazing and the service is equally amazing. You have to wait a bit for the dishes but it's all rewarded by the excellent food.
We will gladly return.

Pleasant restaurant with waiter who speaks French. Excellent pizza, truffle spaghetti, grilled octopus, illuminated outdoor parking reserved for restaurant customers.

This might’ve been some of the best food of this years trip to Italy. My partner is from Perugia so we return every year, and this will be an annual stop. We had the pizza Atomico e the Perugina pizza, both were buonissimo, especially the meat on the pizza. I got the umbricelli arrabbiata to-go for lunch tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to it. Frank, our server, was fantastic, and I’m not sure but I think he changed the music for us (we were speaking English) and the vibes were excellent. Definitely our best stop in Perugia and I can’t wait to come back.

Super recommended pizza restaurant, I was able to taste umbricelli with porcini mushrooms, house wine and a pistachio semifreddo, all very welcome.
All the staff were kind, smiling, welcoming and attentive. The wait wasn't long even though it was Saturday night and the price is fair.
If I return to Perugia I will stop by this restaurant!

In visita a Perugia abbiamo chiesto in hotel un ristorante informale dove cenare e ci hanno consigliato "I Mattarelli".
Devo proprio dire che siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti in tutto e per tutto: la gentilezza del personale, l'ambiente sobrio e pulito ma, sopratutto, la bontà dei piatti di pasta fresca che abbiamo ordinato.
Se poi vi piacciono i dolci non finite il vostro pasto senza ordinare la selezione di dolci dello chef: esagerato!
Ultimo ma non ultimo il conto che è stata un'altra piacevole sorpresa.

Cibo ottimo,personale gentile. Attesa un po lunga ma sicuramente dipendeva dalla festività pasquale. Consigliati gli Umbricelli, la tagliata con le verdurine grigliate e il tagliere di formaggi e confetture.

Se volete mangiare bene sia carne che pesce che pizza allora dovete andare ai Mattarelli dove non verrete sicuramente delusi.
