Dinner with friends at this Sarzana restaurant, which I'd often heard about but had never been to.
Our table was in the second room, the smaller and more intimate one, with stone vaults. The atmosphere was very relaxing and definitely less chaotic than the main room, where there was a lot of hustle and bustle.
The focaccia was truly tasty and crispy, and the cured meats were top-quality.
I then ordered a plate of tortelli with meat sauce, which were truly delicious: I even mopped up the sauce with bread because the sauce was top-notch.
The desserts were good.
The staff were friendly, and the service was quick and accurate, despite the crowds.
The price was a little above average for what we ate, but the quality was undeniable.
I recommend it.

A lovely, traditional restaurant. The simple, yet successful focaccia selection showcases excellent local produce and reinterprets popular flavor combinations. In any case, the excellent and varied osteria-style menu is served with a friendly atmosphere in a historic, traditional setting. A great selection of natural wines!

Fondachi is a name that evokes ancient times. They were warehouses for goods, sometimes used as customs houses. Indeed, even from the outside, this place feels like a different time. Inside, tables are under arches; outside, tables are on a narrow street. The building across the street hints at a huge staircase behind large, dusty windows, and as you eat, you find yourself imagining who might have climbed it and what for. Meanwhile, you're presented with every kind of food, from fish to sandwiches to unique desserts. When you finish this—which to call a sensory experience an understatement—it's like waking up from a beautiful dream and you can easily stroll through the alleys of Sarzana, a veritable miniature Pietrasanta. What do you think? Is it worth it?

The place is very beautiful and charming. The focaccias are excellent.
The desserts are fabulous.
The owner is friendly and kind.
Unfortunately, the wait is long and it's too noisy; voices echo and you can't even talk to the person next to you.
