I CherChi al Poetto In Cagliari

A small restaurant in true "seafront" style. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed were the menu placemats covering the windows from the inside, for some reason or other. The food is below average, especially considering the price: you can taste the quality ingredients and the desire to improve, but the dishes are confusing. In particular, the tagliolini allo scoglio al nero di seppia is a Pollock of flavors: a striking visual effect, but in the mouth, everything blends together, and the sauce dominates, completely covering the fish (I tried some raw scampi on its own, and it was very good). The pasta with clams and bottarga was good, but it's also a shame about the culurgiones, which are well-made but topped with a very acidic sauce that covers everything. Fried fish and umbrina (if I remember correctly) are good, the wine is average in both quality and variety. Disappointing service, there were a couple of mistakes when taking orders. I highly recommend using a notebook and being more humble, but the worst was when the waitress made us pay by card and ate a spoonful of fregola for every transaction. Family-run business doesn't mean being related to the customers, but making the people who choose you feel at home. In conclusion, not recommended.

Very, very fresh and very good! I highly recommend it, especially after a day at the beach! We had the octopus, fish and chips, and calamari, then tiramisu for dessert! Everything was delicious! The service was quick, and the waitress spoke French and was very, very kind.

The best in Poetto. The air conditioning is poor, and communication is almost the same as in Poetto, only Italian is spoken, but the service is very friendly and fast. The quality of the food is very high, from what I saw. The owner is the chef. You can feel that she puts her heart and soul into the food, because it's exquisite, beyond words, how delicious it is to eat there. I recommend visiting.

Food was ok but small portions especially for the price. Bread got chucked on the table, the waitress was friendly but mainly as we were leaving. The wine was the best bit!

It was amazing experience!!! We have garlic and onion allergy and it's frequently hard to get dishes with sauces and spices intact, here it was totally groundbreaking, we took octopus, fish plate, fregola di mare and some appetizers, everything was prepared with exquisite taste and attention to detail, sauces, tenderness, texture - worth of a Michelin star restaurant. Service was great although speaking simple English but very forthcoming and accommodating! Wine selection is a bit short and is not on par with amazing chef, nonetheless it's totally an experience with great value for money

We sat in the cozy dining room. There were also seats along the promenade, but since the ice cream parlor next door gets quite busy in the evenings, we felt that sitting inside was the better option. For dinner, we had fluffy cod, tuna tartar, beef, and a truly delicious sesame-coated tuna. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely go back. 😊

The location was beautiful, the presentation of the dishes was beautiful...the food was definitely below average. The fried octopus was so rubbery, impossible to chew; the fried food was dry and not fresh. What a shame.

Delicious food - fresh and flavorful. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. A wonderful spot I’d happily return to. Highly recommended!

Fantastic, cozy restaurant right by the beach with excellent cuisine and friendly service. We love their fish and chips and desserts 🥰 I recommend it!

Atmosfera piacevole e servizio cortese. Gli antipasti si sono rivelati un buon inizio, con una burrida davvero saporita. Il baccalà, però, risultava un po’ stoppaccioso. Il primo piatto, con crema di bottarga, avrebbe dovuto essere il protagonista ma il sapore era dominato dalla panna, mentre la bottarga si percepiva poco; gli asparagi freschi, inoltre, erano piuttosto insapori. Ottimi invece i culurgiones di pesce, ricchi di gusto. Anche il dessert ha concluso in bellezza. Un’esperienza nel complesso positiva, con qualche dettaglio da rivedere.
