The Carraccis offer a unique experience. The interiors are beautiful and evocative, covered in frescoes by the Carracci brothers. The tasting menu is a journey that will leave you speechless. You discover flavors I never thought I'd experience with such common and traditional ingredients. The "La Dotta, La Grassa, La Rossa" menu explores Emilian and Bolognese traditions with innovations in every dish. For example, the Parmigiano Reggiano extract accompanying the mortadella terrine was a unique explosion of flavors. Words cannot describe the deliciousness of the tortellini, lasagnetta, and petroniana. Three perfect dishes, flawless, perfectly constructed, with just the right proportions. The best dishes I've ever eaten. The lemon splash is a real treat; it literally explodes in your mouth and washes away all the savory flavors, preparing your palate for the desserts. Even the desserts were perfect.
Excellent service; all the waiters were very kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. Despite the charming setting, the waiters manage to make you feel at home, as if you were having a family dinner.
A particularly nice gesture was when a waiter came to clear the breadcrumbs from our table and told us that they actually recommend that customers break the bread with their hands and crumble it on the table, because it's a convivial gesture that makes them feel at home, and that's what they want their guests to feel, and we certainly felt that way.
Furthermore, there's a very extensive wine list and the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and kind.

We tried the "La dotta, la grassa, la rossa" tasting menu, and I must say it was a truly impeccable experience. Each course was meticulously crafted, with rich and well-balanced flavors. Everything, absolutely everything, was exquisite.
The setting is elegant and enchanting, the kind that immediately makes you feel special. The service was perfect: attentive, precise, and never intrusive.
A tasting worthwhile, especially if you want to experience Bologna at its best. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The set menu was absolutely amazing- every course was delicious and beautifully presented. The live music created a wonderful atmosphere and made the evening feel even more special.
The staff were very friendly, attentive and took the time to explain the menu in detail which we really appreciated.
Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back!

We dined at I Carracci and enjoyed the experience overall. The location is very nice and elegant, setting the right atmosphere for the meal. The restaurant is Michelin-recommended, which feels appropriate given the level of quality and consistency.
The food was good, well executed, and balanced. Service was a strong point — the waiters were professional and attentive, and the sommelier was very capable, offering helpful guidance. There is also a good and well-curated wine selection, which complemented the menu nicely.

I had a simply unforgettable evening at I Carracci. I chose the menu entirely dedicated to white truffle, and it was a true sensory journey: intense aromas, profound flavors, dishes executed with impeccable precision and a great sensitivity in showcasing such a noble ingredient.
Among the various courses, a special mention goes to one pairing in particular: tagliolini with white truffle accompanied by a magnificent Freisa di Mascarello. Just one glass, just one course, but a perfect match: the elegance of the wine and the intensity of the truffle blended in a rare balance, giving me one of the most emotional moments of the evening.
Special thanks to Daniele, the sommelier, for his extraordinary professionalism, for the passion with which he describes each wine, and for his impeccable attention to pairings, which made the experience even more intense and complete.
It wasn't just a simple dinner, but a memory I will cherish forever. I Carracci confirms its position as one of the most fascinating haute cuisine destinations in Bologna. I will return with great pleasure.
