Came all the way to Venice as this was my first stop. Best sandwiches in Venice. Loads of options or just ask them to make what you'd prefer. Number 6 is my favourite.

Very good sandwiches to take away, and large (in the photo there are only half), although they are not "cheap". We had the Pascoli, and it was very good. The place maintains the air of an old Italian bar, although having more space or a terrace would not go amiss. I would repeat

With months of guilty delay, a due review to one of the best bacari. Superlative esplanade with cod, excellent finocchiona, very honest prices and extremely courteous and approachable staff. Among so many shots of little substance and much appearance, an obligatory stop where you can eat something good and substantial.

Sandwiches are great! Very tasty. We went twice during our 3 days stay. However, I only give 2 stars for service as the guy made our sandwiches with the SAME GLOVES after handling the cash and cash machine. Haven’t you learned from Covid?

Amazing cicchetti and sandwiches offered to-go out of this little corner restaurant. The menu is all in Italian, and is quite popular with both locals and tourists alike. If you’re unsure what to try (like I was) I asked the man at the counter to pick several cicchetti he recommended, including mortadella. They were 3€ each, and so delicious!

We had lunch together. I ordered sandwich number 3 and sandwich number 10. The ham was both mortadella, number 3 had green vegetables, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil pesto, and number 10 had pistachios, honey, and a creamy cheese I didn't know the name of. The singing was loud and there was no place to sit, so we ate it standing up, but it was very delicious. They even asked if I would cut the sandwich so they could share it! When I finished eating and went to throw away the trash, I said that it was really delicious, and the two clerks started dancing with big smiles and ran away.
