The food was exceptional! We had a guinea fowl and red berry risotto, and linguine with sea urchin, mint, and lemon. Not only were the flavors very original, but the quantities were perfect. We were served appetizers, which were also very good.
The service was very good; the waiters were attentive, and we wanted for nothing!
The location was incredible: a peaceful courtyard, a small fountain, a subdued atmosphere, and light music.
I highly recommend it!!

We dined at Hydra last night, on the terrace in a pretty, tastefully decorated courtyard. The service was impeccable, discreet, and professional. With the cocktails, we were served homemade breadsticks and crackers, and before the main course, we were served appetizers of pork, octopus, and eggplant, as well as homemade bread (still warm) with local olive oil.
The guinea fowl risotto with red berries and herbs was absolutely delicious, and the pasta with sea urchins and mint and lime was also excellent. It was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. We had an apricot and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert, very delicate and the perfect way to end the meal.

A wonderful surprise to have discovered this restaurant in the center of Salerno. The refined but informal atmosphere immediately strikes you, the elegant, attentive but not intrusive service. A solid, modern and original cuisine. We had a five-course tasting in the blind, and the dinner satisfied us from every point of view. Ideal for romantic dinners but also jovial meetings and aperitifs. The young and talented guys in the dining room and the chef welcomed us with warmth and professionalism. Absolutely to return. Bravo!

More than a tasting dinner, a real culinary experience with delicious dishes, presented by a trained, welcoming and delicate staff and cooked and plated perfectly by the chef.
Really happy with the quality of the dishes tasted.
Wines? An infinite choice: regional, national, European and international wines...with a variety of prices... pleasant and sober environment for an evening in sweet company.

WOW. What an incredible dinner. We have been to many restaurants mentioned by Michelin throughout the US and Europe, and we rarely find that it lives up to the hype. However, Hydra definitely lived up to the hype and exceeded it! We had an unforgettable dinner. We had one of the best wines we’ve ever tasted along with a three course menu. Lorenzo was extremely kind, took great care of us, and shared his great opinions on the food. We had an outstanding experience. If you find yourself in Salerno and want an unforgettable experience, make a reservation at Ristorante Hydra!

Restaurant mentioned in the Michelin guide in the historic center of Salerno. The outdoor room is inside a courtyard of a historic building and this already creates a special atmosphere. The outdoor room is made up of an open and a covered part and then there is the internal room. Friendly and present service. I hadn't realized that there was the possibility of a tasting menu so we chose à la carte dishes. Everything really delicious. Recommended.

An unforgettable dining experience at Hydra!
We had the 5-course tasting menu and were truly impressed by every dish. Each course was creative, beautifully plated, and full of bold, refined flavors. You can tell the chef puts real thought and passion into every detail. The service was attentive and warm, adding to the relaxed, elegant atmosphere. One of the culinary highlights of our trip to Salerno — highly recommended for food lovers!

Siamo tornati in questo locale a distanza di un anno. Sempre elegante e pulito con massima cortesia e attenzione per i clienti. Devo però evidenziare che a dispetto della qualità dei piatti ci sono apparsi troppo elevati i prezzi in confronto all’abbondanza degli stessi. Buona la carta dei vini
