Hotel Villa Bianca In Taormina

We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly gentleman at Reception who automatically gave us a map of the area and circled various places of interest. He wrote down times of opening/closing and costs. Unfortunately, we were given a room in a separate part of main Hotel where we had to take the lift to the 5th flr . Come out onto the rooftop walk down a metal staircase and then we were faced with exactly 💯 stairs to climb to our room (each way!!!) Considering our ages my partner being 71 and awaiting a knee replacement. I was a little shocked to say the least. When we got to our (very basic but clean) room, there were no tea/coffee facilities, no mini fridge and the shower was not a walk in one but one where you had to climb into a bath. Which wasn't easy for my partner. When I questioned re: fridge i was told they had been taken out of all the rooms this year!! Not good in 36-38 deg temps On a plus the views were amazing and all staff friendly and helpful(although no other rooms were available). Struggled and had to plan every day as we were climbing approx. 600 steps per day as well as all the walking we did

Room a little dated but clean and comfortable.

Good for being in Mazzerò (it seems better to me to stay in the center and not near the sea, than I have not been.

Excellent location, very close to the beach, next to the funicular and the bus stop

Nice hotel with good value for money and a very friendly breakfast waiter.
