Hotel Taubers Unterwirt Restaurant In Velturno

We were here at the beginning of November and can only recommend this hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the region, whether to the Seiser Alm, the Plose or the towns of Brixen and Klausen, everything can be reached in a short time. The very good cuisine, friendly staff and a very nice wellness area complete the overall package.

Nice hotel - but expected a little more for the price. Food service is not ideal. Often waited a long time for drinks and food. Buffet was refilled very slowly. Wellness area very small - few loungers. We couldn't use it because there were no free loungers.

Very nice wellness hotel on the mountain. The e-bikes that can be rented are great and are well explained. The breakfast and dinner were very tasty and creative. Great wellness offer.

Everyone was very, very friendly. Great hiking tips at reception. If you still feel hungry at 3/4 board, the Sellemond bakery in town is worth a visit. The hotel's furnishings are unfortunately a bit outdated, but are still tastefully decorated. gastronomy Good service, which is not a given at this time. The breakfast is very good, juicer and eggs to cook yourself. Delicious fruit spreads. Great selection of bread rolls. Sometimes it takes a while if things are used up late (around 10 a.m.). Salmon and Prosecco only on Sundays. The 4-5 course dinner is excellent. A big compliment to the chef Daniel and team. The salad buffet is unfortunately less varied. The courses are excellently put together. Mostly vegetarian options. There was no such thing as vegan. The cake buffet is really nice. Always a great fresh apple strudel and other delicacies. Large wine list at reasonable prices. We also really liked the flexibility with menu changes. Room Unfortunately we had a room that had not been renovated. A bit old. Unfortunately not entirely appropriate for the price. But furnished in a typical country style and spacious. Great big balcony. Unfortunately there was only one bathtub, which limited the showering experience somewhat. Wellness The wellness area has two saunas and two steam baths. When we were there in mid-October 24, the hotel was fully booked, so the area was a bit too small and all the loungers were occupied. We can recommend the hotel because of the family atmosphere, the friendliness, the excellent food and the good location.

We stayed at the Taubers Unterwirt for the second time 3 weeks ago and were thrilled again. Requests such as a quiet room are taken into account and the service is really wonderful. The breakfast selection is large and fresh egg dishes are cooked upon request. If you like, you can put together your own smoothies; the rolls from the local bakery are extremely tasty! We stocked up there for home. The dinner with a 5-course menu, salad first, then always 2 dishes to choose from, and often 3-5 for dessert, is very tasty, extremely good cuisine. The only disadvantage: you gain weight 😂 The spa area with 4 saunas/steam baths is absolutely sufficient, and there is also the option of a fresh air area. The swimming pool is great, could be a little cooler, as an active swimmer it quickly gets too warm. We always found loungers. The spa area with its treatments is also wonderful. The beautician was so pleasant and it was a total relaxation! The beds are very good, you sleep very deeply and restfully. A small note (I had already mentioned this in the customer satisfaction survey in the hotel): it would be nice if more modern hairdryers were used. In order to generate sufficient power, you have to go to the highest setting, which results in very hot air coming out. Low = cold and low power. It is also no longer appropriate to constantly have to press a button for the hairdryer to work. 😉 The hotel is very well located as a starting point for short hikes. Otherwise you can get anywhere quickly by bus or car. We will be back!

Cozy spa hotel. Not too aloof. Lots of wood. Very tasty food - fine dining. Beautiful spa area.
