We found an excellent welcome waiting for us at the Hotel Vagneur. The managers were extremely kind and flexible in meeting our needs and for this we thank them. The rooms are simple, but very welcoming and quiet and guarantee optimal rest. The dinner was a culinary experience that will be difficult to forget, and from the dishes and their explanation all the passion that the managers have for their cuisine and for their hotel shines through. It was a beautiful discovery, a rare pearl where you can disconnect everything and reconnect.

A small mountain hotel from times gone by, where you can eat very well at a fair price. Getting there is a bit of a "bump" but it's worth it. The rooms are also comfortable

Posto da favola..menu valdostano prezzi nella media ..d'inverno con la neve che scende uno spettacolo..si può girare a piedi il borgo vicino al ristorante e scattare delle bellissime foto

Review of the restaurant only, we did not stay overnight beautiful atmosphere in the village, we were greeted by a night snowfall, and immediately seated in the dining room. Very good food, generous portions, typical Aosta Valley without digressions, the availability towards vegetarian diners is appreciable (for example the Valpellinese soup is made with vegetable broth), with the possibility of making variations to the dishes. Friendly and helpful staff, recommended.

Abbiamo festeggiato la fine del 2024 in questo locale molto rustico ma gradevole e in fin della fiera è ciò che ci si aspetta da un ristorante in una piccolissima frazione che conta poche anime. Gli antipasti buoni e vari. Ottimi gli gnocchetti al burro e salvia e le lasagne al radicchio e bleu d’Aoste serviti come primi. Purtroppo poi si è passati ai secondi… il brasato sarebbe stato perfetto, per cottura e consistenza della salsa, ma era freddo, così come il purè che l’accompagnava. Pessimo il filetto: non solo freddo, ma anche tagliato troppo sottile, troppo cotto e nervoso. Il dolce discreto: anche a lui qualche grado in più non avrebbe fatto male. Personale per lo più molto giovane e non molto esperto, comunque sempre cordiale e sorridente. Conto più che corretto, considerando anche i fuochi d’artificio compresi nel prezzo.

Simple but welcoming room, and with a small balcony with a beautiful view. Top staff and the restaurant is simply delicious, with traditional dishes and really honest prices.

15/03/2025: Interesting special restaurant and different from all the others in the valley. Refined menu but within everyone's reach, literally spectacular dishes with studied and super interesting combinations even if sometimes unusual. The waiters make you feel at home and are very attentive to service. The "Selvaggio" tasting menu was an exciting journey and you can see that the chef loves what he does and tries to convey all his passion, succeeding fully. The menu is seasonal, so I won't list all the dishes because they could be different tomorrow. Certainly what impressed me the most was the celery sorbet, with fresh sweetened celery. The pigeon is definitely the best dish.
13/03/2025: Fantastic place with tasting menu in Courmayeur. Family run spot and they have so much passion for their restaurant. Excellent service.

Agriturismo La Tchavana di Metsan

18/02/2025: A beautiful refuge that can only be reached on foot. Don't be scared by the previous sentence, the route is very simple (also suitable for children) and lasts no more than 35 minutes. Once you arrive you can admire a breathtaking landscape that, given the small effort to reach it, is really worth it. The refuge has set up the outside area with wooden tables and many deckchairs to sunbathe on the nicest days. There is a kitchen there that offers a few but very good products: - platters of local cured meats - their mountain cheeses - Valdostan polenta - bar and cafe The quality is really very high, plus everything is made by them so I recommend arriving hungry!
31/01/2025: We were deeply impressed by the quality of the products and the passion that distinguishes the staff. Their cured meats and cheeses are a true celebration of traditional Aosta Valley flavors, made with care using their raw materials that we were able to observe up close. In particular, lardo, cotechino and Gran Gessato cheese are extraordinary. A commendation also goes to the online shop's customer service which proved helpful, reflecting the commitment of all the staff. 100% recommended!
