Hotel Ristorante del Sole In Porto valtravaglia

The only hotel in the area that was open between Christmas and New Year's. We had a good dinner at the attached Bistro Imbarcadero.

The room was fine, but the bathroom needed new silicone seals in the shower. The mattresses were very soft. The three-star rating was a bit faded, and the reception was overly friendly. Okay for a stopover.

A very nice hotel in a small, sleepy town. Everything was clean, and we had a great direct view of Lake Maggiore. There was a good breakfast buffet, and in the evenings, if you wanted, you could enjoy a good meal in the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel.

The restaurant is okay, but the prices are a bit above average. The meat tasted good but was of poor quality. The staff was friendly.

While on our motorcycle trip, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner right on the lake. Great rooms, excellent service, and a breakfast buffet with a generous buffet right on the lake. Highly recommended! 👍

Nice little hotel at the foot of the lake. Good value for money.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did eat at the restaurant – the pizzas are delicious and the location is also very nice! :-)

Ideally located near the beach, we had a spacious three-bed room with a side view of the lake. The food on the lakeside terrace was very good. Breakfast in the lounge was a disaster: a hot drink was included, but there was no bread, croissants were from the freezer, and the staff were overwhelmed. There's a large parking lot a few minutes away, but unfortunately, it's not offered by reception; you have to ask. There are no electric charging stations in town. The playground and sandy beach are in the immediate vicinity.
