My recent stay at Hotel Locarno was nothing short of outstanding. From the very beginning, Damiano was exceptional in handling my booking. His professionalism, care, and efficiency made the entire process seamless and stress-free. At the front desk, David was an absolute standout. As a guest liaison, he could not have been more welcoming, warm, or helpful. He is a true asset to Hotel Locarno, and his kindness and dedication left a lasting impression. I was also delighted to meet Valentina, who was incredibly friendly and also left a wonderful lasting impression. It was wonderful to be able to tell her personally how incredible her team is. She leads with clear passion and it shines through in the service. Stephano took care of all our housekeeping needs with such efficiency, attention to detail, and friendliness. His thoughtful approach ensured that our stay was always comfortable and perfectly looked after. Serena in the restaurant was simply divine and had a wonderful warm and graceful service style, always accompanied by a beautiful smile. The food was absolutely incredible and our accommodation in our deluxe double room was exceptional. Hotel Locarno, thank you for creating such a memorable experience. Your team is extraordinary, and I look forward to returning.

Excellent location near Piazza del Popolo, delicious a la carte breakfast with a wide variety of food. Impeccably clean, and truly impeccable reception service.

This is absolutely my favorite hotel in Italy! Old-world charm, excellent service, fun "people-watching", an amazing bar in the most delicious courtyard, and all at an excellent quality-for-price ratio. This place is exceptionally well-managed, and maintained. Head to the courtyard bar on a spring day: grab your favorite book, order a negroni, smell the blooming wisteria, and enjoy eaves-dropping on the handsome and beautiful Romans, and international elites who come here - you'll feel like you're in a movie.

Exceptional! We spent five days in Rome at the beginning of November in this hotel, whose location is perfect, but above all, the staff are incredibly attentive, and the breakfast is superb. I recommend it without hesitation.

I rarely write reviews—good or bad—as I’ve always felt that my single experience may not reflect an establishment as a whole. But after spending three wonderful nights at Hotel Locarno with my wife and 3-year-old son, I feel certain that what we experienced is not unique to us, but the true spirit of this hotel. To begin with, the property itself is stunning. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying for all of us (including our little one), and the evening aperitivi were always a delight. Every aspect of the amenities and atmosphere was exceptional. Then there is the location - to us, the location could not be beat. What truly set Hotel Locarno apart, however, was the people. From the playful and warm Davide, to the kind and gracious Maurizio, to the cheerful and informative Ricardo—every single person we met radiated genuine care and kindness. The professionalism, warmth, and personal attention we received were unlike anything we’ve experienced in other hotels, whether in the US or abroad. Traveling with a lively 3-year-old can sometimes be a challenge, yet the staff treated him with patience, joy, and understanding. It’s one thing to extend kindness to adults who know the unspoken etiquette of a place, but to welcome a young child with such generosity and grace is something truly rare—and deeply appreciated. We will absolutely be returning to Hotel Locarno and hope to make it our home base for longer stays in the future. Until then, we will fondly remember this beautiful hotel and the remarkable people who made our time there so special.

This is a great little gem of a hotel for you to consider when staying in Rome. It's celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, so expect the quirky charm of an older establishment. The staff is attentive and courteous, and English isn't a problem if your Italian isn't up to par. Our corner room was large, as well as the bathroom. The claw foot tub was cool, but it made the shower less than luxurious (and a lot of water on the floor). Charming bar/restaurant seating area with a retractable roof. Located a few blocks from the Spanish Steps.

We an absolutely wonderful experience at Hotel Locarno. The service was beyond our expectations (which were already high), the food fantastic, and the atmosphere truly a not to miss experience. They were so kind and considerate of our plans and needs - ensuring we had a magical and relaxed experience in Rome. We will be returning on our next trip!

Recentemente, ho scelto di tornare per una colazione di lavoro, accompagnata da una collega, e l’esperienza è stata sorprendente: varietà, qualità e raffinatezza dell’offerta hanno superato ogni aspettativa. Il servizio, come sempre, attento, cordiale e mai invadente, contribuisce a rendere ogni momento trascorso qui speciale. Complimenti sinceri a tutto lo staff per la professionalità e la passione che si percepiscono in ogni dettaglio.
