Hotel Corona In Domodossola

4* hotel near the train station used for work. I was assigned a fairly anonymous and sad attic room with two single beds which were comfortable but for a person of my size a queen-size bed would have been appropriate. In the room there is a TV on one wall that practically cannot be moved and remains perpendicular to the beds. You can hear but hardly see. The bathroom is decent, quite spacious but shows a lack of age with a worn toilet lid and some rust above the shower door. No toiletries except the shower cap, the soap and shower gel are in a dispenser which don't work well but there is nothing for the bidet. The footrest mat in front of the shower is missing...

limited experience as we were only there with the group for the New Year's Eve dinner and the overnight stay. clean and tidy rooms even if they are small and equipped with a key to open them instead of a card... I would say the fish and meat based menu were excellent as was the final dessert with mascarpone cream. breakfast with large buffet. negative points: rude and rather cold owners but environments that were definitely TOO HOT!!! impossible to sleep at 25 degrees without the possibility of regulating the ventilation.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are very classy with very beautiful Italian tiling. The service is excellent. The breakfast is not bad...I recommend.

I have only used the restaurant so I can only review this. Plus points: very nice presentation of the dishes, good quality of the food, intimate environment and excellent location. Points against: round charger with service on rectangular plates... the staff was not too trained or attentive, I waited for them to bring me back the bread until the second course when it was already finished with the starter. Small things that can be improved without investing too much. The thing that really left me speechless was that when I asked them to have a vegetarian menu, they immediately said yes when in the kitchen they don't have the faintest idea of ​​what vegetarian means!!! I found myself with an excellent broccoli pie in a lobster sauce I think, because when I asked for clarification on ingredients and anything else I found waiters with no immediate or future response. Then as a second course I received some grilled vegetables, unfortunately, on a grill previously used for meat. I understand that not everyone is aware that vegetarian does not mean eating vegetables and that's it, but also extreme care in cooking and not contaminating food with animal foods. I compliment the friendliness and professionalism of the owner who unfortunately was too busy to be informed of my requests. I will definitely return because the slightly retro atmosphere is really nice and above all to experiment with the cuisine outside of a menu prepared for Christmas.

Location elegante e raffinata. Si mangia bene scegliendo piatti di carneo pesce secondo la tradizione. Il personale premuroso attento e molto gentile Quando arrivi ti senti accolto e per tutta la sera e’ stato possibile parlare senza urlare. La sala è sonorizzata ottimamente! Era già preparate una atmosfera natalizia che rendeva piacevole la permanenza … spero tornarci presto. Abbiamo mangiato tutti benissimo pur ordinando portate diverse.

Good but the soup is missing Damage

Excellent hotel in the center of Domodossola, strategically positioned near the railway station and many services in the surrounding area. The rooms are very clean, as are the bathrooms. International breakfast with a good buffet. I often go there for work and have always had a great time. Friendly staff.

Accogliente dehors caratterizzato principalmente dalla piscina dell'hotel, apparecchiatura con tovaglietta in fibra su tavolo con base in vetro, musica di sottofondo a creare nell'insieme una suggestiva atmosfera retrò. Come benvenuto proposto Salmone affumicato con una piccola guarnizione di zucchina e cipolla. Per antipasto scelto Gianchetti: serviti con Capperi di Pantelleria, pomodorini datterino, olio ed erbe; gusto delicato. A seguire Ravioli: ripieni di pesce ed accompagnati da astice con pomodorini; anche in questo caso una buona portata dal sapore tenue. Predessert, Sorbetto al Limoncello. Per dessert Tarte Tatin: davvero ottima,  "ventaglio" di pesche e ciotolina di gelato a completare il piatto. Gestione cordiale, servizio professionale e tradizionale a ricordare il "vecchio stile"; apprezzabile il Cognac alle pere offerto in uscita col caffè. Sette antipasti e sette primi, quattro dolci, due bottiglie di Sauvignon Abbazia di Novacella (a 45 € l'una), caffè, acque e coperti (a 4) per un conto di circa 460 €; nel complesso prezzi nella norma, forse leggermente "elevata" la carta dei vini.
