Hotel Certosa di Maggiano In Siena

An old monastery converted into a hotel located on the outskirts of Siena, highly recommended. The hotel has been nicely renovated, both the interior and exterior areas (although we stayed there in December, so we would love to return at another time to also enjoy the garden more fully). The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is buffet-style and very complete, with a very detailed decoration and layout (the only detail that I think could be avoided would be the issue of charging separately if you want an omelette or avocado, since I think the price of the room is higher in high season). One of the nights we stayed for dinner at the hotel, the food was traditional Tuscan with a modern touch, it was good even though the prices were high. One of the best things about the hotel has also been the staff, they have been very attentive and friendly, recommending routes, restaurants and experiences that we loved and have helped us with everything we needed. For us the location has been unbeatable, as it has been our accommodation to visit various towns and make excursions in Tuscany, as it is not in the center of Siena you have easy access and leave the car in its parking lot, but at the same time as you are in a secluded area and surrounded by nature you are 6 minutes by car from one of the parking lots in Siena to be able to explore the city or go for dinner. We are very happy and we cannot recommend it more if you can come!

We had the great fortune to stay at Cerosa di Maggiano in late September 2025. The property was absolutely lovely and our room was very well appointed. There was a wonderful full restaurant overlooking an inside courtyard which was lovely and the food was excellent. From the moment we arrived to the time left we were blown away by the service. If we could have rated it 10 stars we would have. The best way I can describe it is we were treated like family in a very professional manner. Our every request was met graciously. Our favorite server from the bar, Ricardo, made sure we were well looked after and even shared his homemade limoncello with us. We would not hesitate to stay agin or recommend the hotel to anyone.

An old monastery dating back to the year 1300, surrounded by history, tasteful decor, and very kind and polite staff. The breakfast was exceptional. We loved it!!! Congratulations to the whole team!

A wonderfully characterful hotel set in beautifully arranged gardens with a great pool area. Service was warm and attentive overall, though dinner service felt stretched, with long waits to order and no offer of dessert despite each of us having starters and mains. Breakfast was generous with a wide selection, and the lunch/snack options and dinner menu were strong, complemented by a very good cocktail bar. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom in our executive suite would benefit from a refresh. Conveniently, there’s an easy bus connection into Siena right outside the hotel. A delightful stay with only minor service tweaks needed.

I absolutely loved this hotel - probably one of the best and most unique places I haver ever stayed in! The place is gorgeous with every detail deeply thought of, and the entire staff (specially Lorenzo and Riccardo at the bar) was amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow.. There is no words to describe this hotel, simply the best hotel I’ve ever been to! 10/10, the property itself is mind blowing, the rooms are spacious and very clean, bed and pillows are very comfortable, the pool is gorgeous, the restaurant is very good, lovely breakfast, bar is very high quality, but what makes this place even more amazing is the people who work here, everyone is just so nice and friendly, they made us feel at home. We traveled with our 1.5 year old daughter and the staff was so nice to her. We will definitely come back to another visit. I highly recommend this place.

The team was instrumental in helping my now-fiancé set everything up perfectly for our engagement , turning a beautiful moment into pure magic. We had the chance to chat with several staff members, who made us feel so genuinely welcome . La Certosa elevated our entire vacation to another level – the ambiance, service, and little touches made it unforgettable. We can't wait to return and create more memories.
