Hotel Califfo In Quartu sant'elena

I used to visit the hotel periodically about 15 years ago for work, and it's remained that way ever since. It might have been a 4-star then, but now it needs a makeover. The rooms are outdated, the iron windows (which close poorly) without double glazing are not even found in a 2-star hotel, and the linoleum-floored stairs aren't the best. Otherwise, the air conditioning worked intermittently, the elevator smelled bad... the dinner was just decent (I avoided eating there other times), but breakfast was top-notch. In conclusion, the price is 4-star, but for me, it's barely 3-star.

The hotel is poorly maintained, although the staff was courteous and professional, deserving of a special mention. The hotel is dated and in need of renovation, from the bathrooms and room access systems to the pool, which is beautiful but in need of renovation. In short, it's a real shame.

The room smelled of sewage and wasn't clean. Unfortunately, various things like the minibar and windows were broken. Not recommended.

Breakfast is made of poor quality ingredients, two types of cold cuts, one type of cheese. Unqualified scrambled eggs made from powder. Syrups in plastic cups. Plastic spoons for coffee, so you don't have to wash dishes. The pool is dirty, its surroundings are worn-out. You don't even feel like going in. Not a 4-star hotel at all, more like a 3. I don't recommend it, unless you have no other option.
