Hotel al Verde In Mandello del lario

The Al Verde hotel restaurant is located about 10 minutes from the Mandello lakeside. On the hill, in the cool, and truly immersed in nature. Very rustic hotel, well-kept, clean and well-furnished. Very beautiful are those many small details scattered here and there. Convenient parking for cars and motorbikes, play area, abundant and quality breakfast. The rooms are spacious with a view of sure effect. Satisfactory quality/price ratio. Promoted !!

Pleasant welcome, confusing access on the first day but very pleasant hotel, very friendly staff

I can't recommend this hotel. The price is too high for the standard. The food isn't good. You can get better and cheaper food in town. It's surrounded by greenery, which is lovely. The only thing that's annoying is the highway that runs just below and is quite audible. With significantly improved food and more moderate prices, it could be a good place again. It must have been really good under the previous management. Breakfast is OK for Italy.

Place close to the highway, but it does not bother you in any way. Clean rooms, with a view of the mountains. A place with a slightly difficult access due to the location of the facility - in the higher parts of the town. To the center of MANDELLO about 2.5 km on foot. Breakfasts in a typical Italian style, very good coffee. Dinners in the hotel restaurant in a variety of styles. From pasta to various types of meat. In addition, a wide selection of wines and drinks. Very nice service, helps with the choice, will gladly advise. A fantastic place to spend a vacation in Italy. A place friendly to animals.

We had an important meeting in Mandello and had to find a hotel quickly over Whitsun (nearly everything around Mandello was fully booked!) and were lucky enough to find the Al Verde. The directions to the hotel were sent to us in advance by email - this description is absolutely clear and helps a lot for the last few hundred to the hotel. The hotel itself is situated next to a tunnel in a beautiful mountain valley - but the windows are very well insulated so that the tunnel does not disturb. The hotel is 'inward looking' indeed a bit too clairaudiently - you could e.g. hear the other guests on the way to the room through the closed door of the room. Our room was small but relatively newly renovated, simply furnished, but very clean. The balcony and air conditioning were very pleasant. The parking lot is very large and both cars and motorcycles can be parked here safely and free of charge. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The food in the hotel was good and significantly better than in much more expensive locations on Lake Como that we have visited. That explains why also a lot of locals are going to this site for lunch and dinner - and obviously enjoyed it as well. The combination of cleanliness, friendliness, food and value for money make the Al Verde a simple but highly recommended hotel for us.

We were there to celebrate my birthday, we were very few, 6 people. They were really happy because it was so clean, so much quality and we digested very well. We did not stay in the hotel. I confirm 5 stars for the restaurant. Super fantastic location, parking included.

The route there is very difficult to find, despite the car's navigation system and Google Maps. It's a place surrounded by greenery. Some of the food wasn't good. The meat was tough and raw.

Charming hotel, everything is made of wood. The person who is there in the morning is very friendly and cheerful. However, the room is quite rustic; the water takes a long time to come out, and the water pressure isn't really good. If you want to wash your hair, it's going to be difficult, and the shower is quite small. There were 3 of us, the small bed wasn't comfortable at all; there was a big hollow in the middle. No noise at night, very quiet. Super far from Como, about an hour, you have to do everything by car.

Enchanting place surrounded by greenery, impeccable hospitality and cleanliness. And you eat well too, I recommend it ☺️

Great place for coffee, wine and ice cream ;) the view from the terrace is amazing. It's a bit of a shame that you can hear the highway, but overall it's great ☺️
