I returned after years because, alas, personal circumstances have long kept me away from this magnificent restaurant—in terms of distance, I mean. But I've never forgotten the teenage evenings I spent here. Not to brag, but I helped create the name of the pizza, "Sporta di Serafino," because I always ordered this custom pizza. Eventually, the owner added it to the menu because her father, Serafino, exclaimed when ordering, "Hey, they want a Sporta here!" (which is like a saddlebag in Cortona dialect). 😊
A restaurant well-known and beloved in the Cortona area and my hometown of Lake Trasimeno. A historic venue with stone walls, very convivial and ideal for both intimate dinners and large business dinners, etc. The place is well-maintained, clean, and hygienic. If we were to find a flaw, the parking lot was a bit inconvenient and not very large, but it's not a big deal, since there's plenty of free space further up the street. The staff was efficient, very kind, and friendly. I, of course, had a "Sporta di Serafino" pizza (which I'll post in a photo), a portion of fries, a profiteroles, and a medium glass of Coke and bottled sparkling water.
Everything was always authentic, tasty, and prepared to perfection. The cost was €30, so it's fair. A special shout out to all the staff, and I hope to see you soon. ❤️

The place is very nice, all in typical Umbrian stone. The service was friendly but quick; they served our first courses while we were still eating our appetizers. Then we waited a bit for dessert, I think because it was crowded. The appetizers weren't great, but the first courses were plentiful and good, especially the pici all'aglione. The cappelli del prete were good, but a few more minutes of cooking would have been excellent. Prices were normal.

Lots of people, poor service... slow and imprecise, but the food is good. Improve your timing and accuracy, and this place will be top-notch.

Delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and incredibly friendly staff.
The tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms was excellent, the ribollita was fantastic, and the hummus was the best I've ever had.
