We went to Osteria Hosteria del Platano in Fiumelatte and had a truly pleasant experience! We chose the appetizer and first course menu, and I must say the dishes were excellent. I tried an appetizer and first course with lake fish, both carefully prepared.
The service was fast, and the staff was kind and welcoming. The price-quality ratio was very good, considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this osteria to anyone visiting Fiumelatte looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

We were here in July and we had a wonderful evening. I would describe the cuisine as classic Italian but particularly high quality, all the courses were incredibly delicious.
The small wine list consists almost exclusively of Italian wines, we drank a tasty Riesling from Piedmont.
Particularly noteworthy is the very friendly and professional service, also in English.
We would love to come back!

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a day strolling along the lake on Varenna. The restaurant was set in a secluded area of the town where there’s not much going on. However, we had the honour to be the only table in the restaurant for lunch that afternoon sitting at the patio overlooking the lake. I can echo the other reviewer that this should be a Michelin starred restaurant quality food! We had the two course lunch ordering smoke trout and smoked duck, and lamb chop as well as pappardelle ragu for entree and finished off with a berries and gelato dessert. Everything was beyond this world delicious. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to visit again soon!

This is a Michelin restaurant, very strict with seating at tables - you will sit at a table strictly according to the number of people. You can only order a set, no improvisation. And this does not please everyone, for this a three. But you will be pleased with the chef. It is very tasty. But, most likely, you will leave a little hungry) This is the case when "food is a pleasure of taste", in a couple of hours you will want to eat something) If by car - there is a parking lot nearby, a lake right across the road with a very compact beach.
