Tuvimos varias comidas excelentes en la región del lago medio de Como y este restaurante estaba en o cerca de la parte superior de la lista. Se toman su tiempo aquí y es una verdadera experiencia gastronómica. Tres horas de vuelo en este comedor de piedra arqueada que era acogedor y cómodo. Gran carta de vinos, comida y servicio. Muy recomendable.
Para tu información, vimos el restaurante rechazar al menos una docena de grupos tratando de conseguir una mesa. Comimos allí un miércoles a finales de septiembre. Realizar una solicitud de reserva a través de la página web. Le informarán si la solicitud es aceptada. No es automático.
Estábamos alojados en Varenna y está a 17 minutos a pie del restaurante. Intentamos conseguir un taxi o Uber en vano. Tenga en cuenta eso si tiene una reserva.

We chose the menu at 38th, tiny starters, my wife took a truffle leek strundle with no truffle taste and I had a beef tartare 8cm in diameter by 15mm thick.
As a main course, 2 duck legs, very good but you needed 2 baskets of bread to no longer be hungry but unfortunately the bread is distributed 2 slices by 2 slices.
We qualify this restaurant as a tourist trap because it is next to the Fiumellatte waterfall with a view of the lake.

What a wonderful place to enjoy food and wine and music and a splendid service. Best food I ever tried in Italy. Thanks. Please try the ravioli and the lavarello lake fish.

Friendly service and delicious dinner. We had the pasta with duck ragout, beef fillet, tartare, cauliflower soup and ravioli. Everything was in top quality. In terms of price, it's in the slightly higher category.

15 minute walk under the Sun ☀️ from Varenna was a bit rough BUT definitely worth it. We ordered beef tartare and the very salty fish as starters - they’re absolutely umami BOMBs 💣, the MOST delicious salted fish we’ve had in the entire 3-week Europe trip. For the main dish I ordered the fish with aubergine 🍆 and my partner had the pasta. We both agreed that my fish with 🍆 was over the moon 🌙. His pasta was good as well but not as memorable. The eggplant was perfectly seasoned and paired beautifully with the fried fish which was cooked, again, to perfection. Then we went for a dip in a nearby beach that was tiny and full of rocks but amazing privacy. ✨ definitely one of the best decisions we made on this trip!

Our best meal in the area!
The food was exquisite. My husband had a 3 course meal. Beef tartare, spaghetti bolognese ( with duck), and lamb chops ( the best lamb chops I ever tried). On the other hand, I went all vegetarian, but heavenly as well. I had a fried zucchini with ricotta inside and a spaghetti with mushroom/coliflower/ brocoli. A mix of vegetables that made it extremely flavorful.
For dessert, I ordered the soft ice cream with walnuts and some coffee.
The restaurant was a lovely combination of rustic and clasic. Very beautiful.
And our service was outstanding 👏 👌
We really enjoyed our experience.

Excellent and plentiful dish. Friendly and prepared staff. A little lacking on the vegan and vegetarian front, but you can find something to eat.

A splendid experience, this is possible by stopping for a dinner in this Hosteria. Dishes cooked with care and passion, high quality raw materials, attentive service, very pleasant and characteristic location. The dishes follow the tradition of the lake, which is no longer easy to find. Missultin appetizer and extraordinary pappardelle with lake fish, thyme...they really leave a pleasant memory. Congratulations to the managers and staff
