After reading the reviews, I went in alone for lunch.
Since it was a Saturday, the restaurant was already crowded, but I was seated quickly.
The menu was a QR code that could be scanned and was written in English.
I ordered pasta with white wine and sea urchin sauce.
It was delicious. I would highly recommend it.
There were still other dishes I wanted to try (vongole, lobster, etc.), so I returned for lunch the next day, but since it was Sunday afternoon, there was a 30-minute wait and I had other plans afterwards, so I couldn't get in.
Next time I'm in Venice, I'd like to stay in Mestre and enjoy the food here!
To pay, just signal to the waiter at your seat.
They understood me in simple English. They tried to communicate something during the meal, but I didn't understand.
But the service was good!

This was the best food I had during my trip to Europe. The octopus salad, fried seafood, and grilled seafood were all delicious. You definitely have to go.

Without any prior knowledge, I went there, guided by Google Maps and AI recommendations for a local favorite.
As described below, there were a ton of Westerners—tourists or locals, I'm not sure—standing outside the door, so I worried about the line and the wait. But everyone was chatting, each holding a drink. Just walk in, ask how many people are available, and wait to be seated.
As soon as I stepped inside, I was captivated by the interior, the lighting, and the tables. I loved the buzz and the buzz.
I was starting to want to eat here.
I don't know if it was the Google Maps homepage or the menu, but in any case, the photos looked delicious, so I ordered something that made the time pass.
And it was absolutely delicious.
The grilled seafood wasn't too salty or overly burnt, and my family all praised the squid, which was especially tender.
The olives weren't too sour, and the bread was a work of art. I remember they brought me more, but I can't remember if they charged extra or if they just charged me a single serving.
As someone else commented below, the only downside is that the drive to and from the hotel is a bit scary. I'm not sure if black hoodies are the new trend among young people in Venice these days—because they didn't seem aggressive—but I was a bit scared by the sight of several people wearing black tops and bottoms, including hoodies. But I kept telling myself it was just my stereotype, and tried to walk boldly. If that's a concern, go for lunch or take a taxi. It was a really nice restaurant.

I recently visited Hostaria Vite Rossa. The place was quite crowded, a sign that it's a popular and well-regarded establishment, but this likely affected the service, which was a bit slow.
The staff was helpful, and the atmosphere was overall pleasant. The dishes were average: good, well-presented, but without any particular surprises.
