With friends for dinner, the food was excellent, as was the wine.

For a Michelin-starred restaurant, it fell short by a long shot. The ambiance was mediocre, the service from waiter Rafaele was terrible, and the dishes were far below Michelin-star standards. The experience was not the best.

Storico is always welcoming, the food always top notch.

This restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide, so we decided to give it a try for dinner… perhaps we should have checked the reviews here first… The dining room is noisy, the service is very (too?) abrupt/stressful, and depending on where you're seated, you risk getting hit with a plate by one of the waiters… The food is decent, but nothing special. Avoid it; if you're in the area, there are better options nearby…

We was walking around after an evening visit to the Vatican, and stumbled upon this resturant, we liked the authentic look of it and desided to give it a shoot. It was an really great experience, pasta was really good and the waiter was there only when we needed him, I’m not a fan of waiters hovering over you asking questions. We got some good pasta, but next time i’ll try seafood,too, because we’re definitely going back. For a small dessert we got some cantuccini with wine and it was a great ending. Later i saw they are mentioned it the guide too.

The joy of finding places of this quality in Rome. Delicious, impeccable service. On a Sunday evening! Wow! Impressive.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday evening. Despite it being packed, we were served promptly and efficiently. Service was fast and efficient throughout the dinner. The food was truly excellent, well-prepared and flavorful, with a true respect for tradition. The atmosphere is that of a historic Roman osteria, welcoming and authentic, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Delicious food, tasty wine and great service! A must try!

On our way back to the hotel, we passed this restaurant covered in stickers, including one from the Routard 2025 guidebook. We decided to stop for dinner and weren't disappointed: the pasta was fresh and cooked "al dente" (spicy spaghetti with baby squid and tortellini with Bolognese sauce): a real treat! We then decided to try the tiramisu (€9, a bit pricey but delicious!). We were a little surprised at first because once we were seated, we were asked to choose between still and sparkling water (€4 a bottle), and then we were brought a basket of bread, breadsticks, and crackers (€3 per person, listed on the bill as a service charge and bread: so enjoy your aperitivo!). The staff spoke Italian: it was difficult to make ourselves understood in English or French. Luckily, that evening, there was a friendly Senegalese waitress who spoke perfect French to help us! The restaurant was full on this Friday evening: we arrived early and were able to get a table. The service was a little slow, but it was worth the wait.

A quaint, very welcoming restaurant serving classic Roman and Tuscan cuisine. Excellent wine selection, friendly staff, and interesting cuisine.
