I had lunch on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Hostaria Marcomando in Sarzana with my wife and a couple of relatives of our time. We arrived late, well after 2 p.m., but the owner was quick to welcome us. It was hot, but the narrow street in the center was breezy, and the umbrellas did their job. I ordered the testaroli because they're typical of the area, and I was right, as they were quite original. Usually, testaroli are very large, larger than a pizza, and are cut into squares, but these were whole, the size of a focaccia. Three testaroli, three different toppings, and a remarkable delight. I didn't order a second course because I don't like eating meat, even though I'm not vegetarian, so I ordered the green tagliatelle, cacio e pepe, with shrimp tartare. These were also phenomenal. So why four stars? Because the place, outside, was rather spartan. Hard chairs, set with paper placemats and napkins. Nothing wrong with that, because it's okay to be outside in the summer, but, in my opinion, they detract somewhat from the pleasantness of the experience. The interior is very nice and almost cooler. The bathroom is excellent, even with a window, which is a plus. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Since Sarzana, especially during the "La Soffitta nella Strada" event, is a little gem, I highly recommend both the place and the Ligurian town. Oh, and I shared my reviews with others, so you should know that I'm not just one, but four opinions at once. :D

Yesterday, August 16th, we were in Sarzana and at lunchtime most of the restaurants were closed. We happened to pass by this place which immediately inspired trust and was the first we found open and thank goodness, we had a great time, friendly staff, very nice location, but above all the dishes, few on the menu but for this very reason carefully prepared and quality ingredients, the pea flan on stracchino cream and bacon and the Taglioni verdi cacio e pepe with shrimp tartare are really worth trying, the cured meats were local and last but not least, more than honest bill, we are from Chiavari, but we will be back

Perfect food. My family and I enjoyed eating all the dishes we ordered, full of flavor and very well prepared. You can tell they treat the produce well. The pasta was perfect, al dente. The shrimp broth with chickpeas had a spectacular flavor, highly recommended. The veal was delicious.
All the food on the menu was typical of the region, with pasta and fish predominating. One of the dishes was a recommendation from the waitress and it was a hit.
The atmosphere was cozy, allowing for a relaxed, stress-free meal.
The waiters were attentive and polite.
I would definitely return. A very good experience.

Da tempo volevamo entrare in questo ristorantino tra le mura di Sarzana.Cosa dire: esperienza ottima,tutti gentili e cordiali,servizio super,come super e'la cheffa.Cibo ottimo da orgasmo culinario...bravi tutti ci torneremo di sicuro
