A very characteristic restaurant. Located right behind the Duomo, with very limited seating, there's no menu, but they offer freshly made dishes every day. We tried several dishes, all excellent. From the starters to the main courses to the desserts. The service was excellent. A must-try.

Incredible! A unique and authentic culinary experience in Salerno. The owner served us kindly, and we let him choose the dishes. It was definitely one of the best decisions we made, as we tried new flavors that we would definitely return to.

Si quieres hacer un viaje en el tiempo de unos 100 años para experimentar lo que fue cenar en Salerno entonces este restaurante es para ti. Alessandro, el propietario de Hosterio Il Brigante, fue un gran anfitrión y las recetas eran clásicos de la región. El ambiente y la comida nos hicieron sentir como si estuviéramos comiendo en su casa.

10/11/2025: Watch out for a bad day... maybe that's what happened to me! 🤔 Some difficult requests really seem to bother the waitress: menu, meatballs, ice... 😔 The heated exchange between waitress and chef is quite typical... like a "swear word" in Rome... 🤣 But the food was good, worth it! 💪🏻😉 #secondchance?

23/08/2025: Based on my experience at other restaurants in the area, I believe that the quality-to-quantity ratio of the food served does not justify the price, not to mention the service, which left a little to be desired.
17/08/2025: Everything we ordered was truly exceptional, incredibly fresh and expertly prepared with the flavors of Cilento. However…you absolutely need to improve your table service timing, because waiting an hour for appetizers to arrive means the method you use from taking the order to the dish arriving is decidedly flawed. I speak with knowledge, having worked in the restaurant industry for several years. Slow food is fine, but this will take away your appetite. 😂 And another thing! If I order a dish (parmigiana) and after the appetizers (so after an hour and a half) you tell me it's out of stock, you're also putting me off ordering anything else, because who knows when it will arrive and… if it will even be available.
