If you want a typical Sienese lunch, without tourist traps, a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo, go without hesitation to Hostaria di Pantaneto. The owner is very kind and gave me excellent suggestions both for eating (he suggested a fantastic Cinta Senese tomahawk) and for drinking (recommended a glass of truly remarkable sulphite-free Cerasuolo). All at more than reasonable prices. The place is not huge so you should book. PS. On a positive note, at the end of the meal we were also offered amaro, something that, at least in our area, almost no one does anymore.

Awesome. A gem of authentic Tuscan food in the heart of Siena. Simple, no frills, reduced menu but with high-quality raw materials and at a good price. Reservations are essential because it is very small.

Awesome. We ordered a spectacular carbonara and ravioli with truffle sauce. For dessert, the tiramisu is one of the best and the Panpepato is unmissable. Plus, they have a tremendous local Sangiovese as their house wine. Highly recommended

Buona e simpatica, con un gestore disponibile e cordiale. Si è mangiato bene e si è pagato il giusto. Da ritornarci la prossima volta a Siena.

Locale consigliatissimo appena dietro piazza del campo , si respira la vera aria senese. Pochi posti a sedere , una quindicina , ottima la qualità del cibo e prezzo nella norma. Ottima anche la carta dei vini

27/05/2025: Thank you dear people of Casa El Vento, for a fantastic stay in every way. This was our first address during our tour through the Chianti and Val d'Orcia, which immediately set the bar sky-high! Thanks to Angela for the upgrade to an apartment. So atmospheric, everything with an eye for detail, we enjoyed every minute. The accompanying Osteria is an absolute must. Nice too, so that you don't have to get out in the evening. The breakfast was also a treat. If you want this, cooking lessons, wine or olive tasting on request possible, all from our own soil. Last but not least, a thank you to Adriana, the spa manager, where we booked the Vinotherapy. Let yourself be surprised and book this in the adjacent wellness. Hope to see you soon!

06/06/2025: OMG, best ice cream ever! We had a two-week vacation and traveled from Tuscany to South Tyrol, eating countless ice creams. For me, this is by far the number 1 ice cream.
