What I liked best was the friendly, rustic service from the chef. The seating is lovely, located in one of the many pedestrian zones, allowing you to watch the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed the authentic atmosphere and the good food at fair prices.

Una piccola trattoria con un grande (in tutti i sensi) proprietario.
Pici con ragù bianco di cinta e filetto al vin santo e pinoli.
Sapore e delicatezza nel primo e un'esplosione di gusto nel filetto con quel vin santo che riempie la bocca.
Mi sono fatto consigliare sul vino e l'abbinamento mi ha soddisfatto..
Ho sentito i pareri dei vicini di tavolo entusiasti dei pici alla carbonara senese. Sicuramente ritornerò e li proverò

If you want a typical Sienese lunch, without tourist traps, a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo, go without hesitation to Hostaria di Pantaneto. The owner is very kind and gave me excellent suggestions both for eating (he suggested a fantastic Cinta Senese tomahawk) and for drinking (recommended a glass of truly remarkable sulphite-free Cerasuolo). All at more than reasonable prices. The place is not huge so you should book. PS. On a positive note, at the end of the meal we were also offered amaro, something that, at least in our area, almost no one does anymore.

Awesome. A gem of authentic Tuscan food in the heart of Siena. Simple, no frills, reduced menu but with high-quality raw materials and at a good price. Reservations are essential because it is very small.
