I absolutely don't understand all the hype about this place. It's a perfectly average restaurant, the food is adequate but nothing exceptional. I ordered the supplì (which cost €10, by the way) and got two small, burnt dumplings. If you talk to a waiter, you're almost met with a huff, as it seems like he's doing you a favor just by talking to you. Terrible service is an understatement. Never again, bye.

Authentic Italian restaurant with high-quality, simply delicious dishes.
Friendly and attentive service.
Pleasant, quiet, very well-maintained, and welcoming atmosphere.
We had delicious grilled calamari and a soft, tender ossobuco with natural tomato sauce.
Unlike other restaurants in Rome that were excellent a few years ago and now rip off tourists, Hostaria da Pietro is still very good. I think the secret is that it's located on an ugly, narrow, dead-end street that no one ever comes across, so they either do it very well or they might close down.
100% recommended.
