Honestly, the food was amazing. The best salad with a super authentic flavor, and the pasta was cooked to perfection with a fantastic sauce. The problem comes when you're a guiri (tourist, for those who translate): the treatment is distant, and they take a long time to serve you. We were made to get up from the table where we were initially seated because it was reserved, but they sat there themselves. Then the waiter was a bit rude, but then he tried to correct it with some conversation. Honestly, I would go back, but once I can speak Italian and go unnoticed as a tourist.

Did we get scammed?
We went there for our first lunch in rome. The food was good but thats about it.
It's an expensive place and we ended up paying 8 eur extra but only noticed when we were already out, seems like we got scammed. The potions were also small, can't really justify paying 50 eur for two small basic pasta dishes...

Risotto with black truffle to my taste, the rice is still a bit uncooked. Therefore, I suggest can choose eggs with truffle.
Roman style artichoke is very tasty.
We also ordered a tomato sauce stew veal marrowbone, that was fantastic. I didn’t even have time to take a picture and it’s finished.

Finding good food in Rome is easy but Historia da Pietro is truly one of the best.
The flavors are rich, authentic, and deeply satisfying. It feels more local, more personal, and somehow even more delicious than most places.
The atmosphere is simple in the best way. No frills, just great food, warm service, and a sense that you’ve found a spot Romans themselves would return to.

Wow. Fantastic. The staff and atmosphere are pure Rome. A simple trattoria that you imagine with ceilings that are 300 years old. Our waiter was awesome and the food amazing. The homemade pasta with butter and truffle was one of the best things I have ever eaten. This place is a winner.

Very famous trattoria with excellent roman dishes
Hands down the best battura (steak tartare) I’ve ever eaten. All pasta dishes were very good: we had the vongole, the carbonara and the amatriciana
We were craving meat so we shared a bisteca alla fiorentina and its was also excellent
Went back twice during our stay

If you are looking for an authentic old world Roman meal, this is an excellent choice. They specialize in the four traditional Rome pasta dishes, artichokes, etc. The food is great and the service is excellent as well. We were probably the only non-Italians in the restaurant. It definitely is not a tourist trap place. Lots of locals enjoying traditional Roman fare. Also have an excellent wine list. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back.

Months after I ate at this restaurant, I'm still thinking about it. It was the best meal we had in Rome and the authenticity of the atmosphere made it all the better. This place does not feel touristy at all, and the food is just delicious.
