Great little non-tourist restaurant, which is exactly what we were looking for. Great food and service.

I wanted ossobuco for dinner, and saw this place online. I was able to get seated right away, and place my order for prosciutto appetizer. The wine and sparkling water came out immediately and the appetizer followed shortly thereafter. The prosciutto was wonderful. Next came my dinner of ossobuco and mushrooms. There was an abundance of mushrooms, which I found out later why. The bone was 2/3rds of the ossobuco. With very little meat, I guess the kitchen felt they should give me more mushrooms. The first few bites with the broth, the broth tasted more like ketchup rather than the wine, broth vegetable mixture I expected to taste. And while it wasn't listed on the menu, I made the incorrect guess that it would be served with a risotto or polenta. I may return to Capo de Fero Roma to try the democratic rigatoni, but I will not be ordering the Ossobuco from this establishment again.

Incredible! We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky to get there early! The place is vintage, fun, and typically Roman. The service was wonderful. We were served by a fantastic waiter who even treated us to a shot of limoncello. The food was delicious; the pasta and tiramisu were a 10/10. Highly recommended, but it's best to make a reservation!

Roman Cuisine with a capital R. One of the best Roman restaurants I've ever eaten at. Starting from the very characteristic and refined Roman setting (if you know what I mean, but it's definitely meant as a compliment), the waiters are extremely kind and true professionals, precise and attentive—something not to be underestimated these days. Being a waiter is a JOB not everyone can do, and these gentlemen perfectly embody this skill ❤️ As for the food, everything is excellent and delicious even to the eye. We ordered beans, sautéed chicory, Roman-style chicken, saltimbocca, amatriciana, and a tiramisu, all exceptional, beautifully cooked and of the highest quality. It will be very difficult to choose what to eat because just looking at the dishes other tables ordered will make your mouth water!!! 🥰 The price is absolutely in line with the area we're in, behind Santa Maria in Trastevere, the quality is top-notch and worth the price of the dinner. Highly recommended, go there and you won't regret it, in fact, you'll be back!!! Guaranteed ❤️

The food was amazing! I couldn’t even finish my pasta cause their servings were gigantic 🤣 Its the night of a summer heat wave 🥵 If there was aircon we wouldve stayed longer to enjoy our food.
