My husband and I came here on our honeymoon after biking the Appian way. It was such a wonderful experience and Paolo was the consummate host. He even sent us home with a bottle of their delicious house wine that we were able to share together later on our trip in front of the Eiffel Tower. The traditional Roman Lasagna was incredible and he gave an excellent recommendation for a wine pairing. I would recommend anyone to take a romantic bike ride out to visit this gem!

We stopped in for lunch while biking on the Appian Way. The property is perfectly beautiful and charming. We were greeted by Chef Paolo who told us our bikes would be safe left leaning against the fence. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and Paolo made everything very memorable. It was overall one of the best meals we've ever had and the bill was surprisingly reasonable. Let Paolo recommend a bottle of wine for your meal.

Io e la mia ragazza siamo andati per l occasione a San Valentino in questo stupendo gioiello immerso nella bellezza dell’Appia antica. Ad accoglierci camerieri gentilissimi e dei piatti deliziosi, oltre che un’atmosfera deliziosa e accogliente. Serata bellissima e indimenticabile ci tornerò senz altro.

Truly a beautiful experience, starting from the classy location. I went to dinner with my girlfriend and although we arrived well in advance the welcome was truly top, the owner welcomed us with kindness, availability and told us many curiosities about the dishes. The service was excellent: fast, friendly, professional and precise. Last point, the food: everything is delicious and of high quality, the desserts and dishes from ancient Rome are exceptional.

A delightful and familiar place, you immerse yourself in the Appia Antica park and go back in time. The "Patina Cotidiana" the lasagna of the ancient Romans is excellent, the wordless homemade gnocchi with clams, all accompanied by the friendliness of Paolo who in welcoming you makes you taste the Moretum, a cream cheese with pecorino and garlic.
Recommended for everyone, especially for those who want to rediscover the old and true flavors of Roman cuisine.

An authentic experience!
Paolo and Massimo make the living room an endearing place, full of anecdotes and stories.
A perfect complement to the visit of the catacombs of San Calixto, to appreciate another part of the history of Italy (gastronomic).
We will return when we return to Italy, to try the other dishes.
