Hostaria alla Tavernetta never disappoints: excellent food and impeccable service. However, I give 3 stars for an unpleasant episode that occurred at the time of payment. My mother didn't remember the ATM PIN, the owner, in a pedantic tone, advised her several times to write it down on her cell phone. I tried to make her understand not to insist, there was a health problem behind it that I naturally didn't want to share: I trusted in the tact and sensitivity of those in front of me, hoping they would choose the path of discretion. But I was very wrong: terrible behavior, especially as it was a manager, and the evening was ruined

Restaurant with a strong Friulian connotation, warm, well-kept and typical environment. The traditional cuisine is respected and well executed with some personal touches, which makes it contemporary and interesting. Good choice of wines and friendly staff.

I returned after some time to have dinner at this place in the center of Udine.
You have to look for it in the streets but, once found, the evening is settled.
Very welcoming right from the entrance with the staff who immediately accompanies you to your table (make a reservation otherwise you won't find a place).
Relaxing environment that immediately puts you at ease.
Good variety of choice between meat, fish, vegan, etc. expertly illustrated by the staff.
The cuisine is excellent and also offers unexpected but delicious combinations.
Wide choice of wines.
Had a great meal for a fair price.
I remembered it well and I'm happy to have returned.

Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Udine. The skilful hand of the chef touches the dishes with skill, delicacy, true and genuine flavour. Precise, punctual and discreet service. Excellent prices. Advised !
