Highly recommended for a stop. Great view of the mountains

Beautiful mountain hut with a beautiful view of the village of Fiė. It offers excellent typical local cuisine with a full menu. It has tables inside and several tables outside with shade from umbrellas. We were just passing through but it also has rooms; dogs are also allowed in the room.

A highly recommended address in the highlands. The young hosts are passionate about their work, cooking the best dishes from their own beef and local ingredients according to old traditions. Original Frittaten soup, dumplings that you should never use a knife for, Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) from an iron pan. Voila! Wines from small local farms in the area: Gump and Besserer-Hof. Beautiful parlor and terrace with an unobstructed view of Bolzano from an altitude of 1550 meters. What more could a heart ask for? My group from the USA was absolutely thrilled by so much passion and quality. Revisit in July 2025 - everything confirmed. Organic pasta with pesto and confit tomatoes, top-notch dumplings, mint juice with lemon and rosemary. 🌿🍽️ The view of Bolzano and Prösels is still magnificent. 😌

The views and food are indeed really good. The staff is very nice. If you come for their weekly dinner service BE AWARE that the direttissima path is an uphill hike, of at least one hour depending on your ability and fitness. It is not an ‘easy’ walk as is often stated. However the effort is worth the reward!

Best hut on our tour! The food, in particular, is outstanding compared to surrounding huts! The service and friendliness of the staff were also excellent. Highly recommended!

If you manage the climb despite the children's carriage and backpack, you will be rewarded with delicious food and drinks in a beautiful atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, delicious food, and chilled drinks, plus a stunning view: hikers, what more could you want?! The Hofer Alpl was worth a visit over 20 years ago, and that hasn't changed.

We stopped here during our hike and were very pleased. Beautiful views, friendly staff, and delicious food. We had the snack board and the dumplings, and everything was delicious.

A very nice alpine pasture, we come here every year and have always been very satisfied, although this time it was a little different. The staff were, as always, very friendly and attentive, but the food has become a disaster, with a very expensive menu. I could understand that for this location, but the quality has to be right. The large salad bowl consists of 3 large lettuce leaves (not chopped), 4 cucumber slices, and 4 tomato quarters. I couldn't find any mustard sauce, and the seeds were about half a teaspoon of two types. It cost 14 euros, and if it had cost 6 euros I would have been disappointed with the chef too, but not annoyed. The schnitzel and fries were average, and at 20 euros it was too much. The soup was okay, but the craftsmanship wasn't convincing for the price. I'm only giving it 5 stars for the service and the location; what the owners are making of it is outrageous and pretentious. It's a shame, but there are several alpine pastures in the area.

La baita HOFER - ALPL è un luogo straordinario immerso tra le montagne. La vista è semplicemente spettacolare, e il contesto naturale è ideale per chi cerca un po' di tranquillità immerso nel verde. Il prato circostante, ricco di fiori, è perfetto per un picnic in famiglia, offrendo tanto spazio per i bambini per giocare e divertirsi. Il servizio e la pulizia generale della baita sono buoni, anche se ho riscontrato un problema con il bagno: pur essendo pulito, c'era un forte odore di fogna che non era attribuibile al letame degli animali, che talvolta si percepisce in questo periodo di concimazione. Il cibo è stato un altro punto forte della nostra visita: piatti gustosi e preparati con ingredienti freschi. Anche il prezzo è stato adeguato alle portate che abbiamo ordinato, senza sorprese sgradevoli. Consiglio vivamente questo posto alle famiglie con bambini, dato che l'accesso è semplice e il luogo è sicuro e accogliente. Con qualche miglioramento riguardo l'odore nel bagno, sarebbe davvero perfetto!
