Hasen Jos In Merano

We ate there almost every day – it was that good! Unfortunately, the restaurant itself was closed for vacation, otherwise we would have continued coming every day. The location is fantastic – beautifully situated beneath the arcades. The menu is small, but very high-quality and varied. We were particularly impressed by the pork loin with herb risotto – cooked to perfection every time, super tender and juicy. A real treat! A huge compliment to one of the waiters – simply brilliant! Not only was he super friendly, but he recognized us immediately and remembered exactly what we had eaten and drunk the last time. Friendly, attentive, and warm – you feel completely at ease. The ladies in the waiting room were also very nice and accommodating. To finish, be sure to try the tiramisu or the mousse – both incredibly delicious!

The menu was small but excellent. The service was really, really good. We felt very well looked after and comfortable.

A lovely, rustic ambiance, outdoor seating, and friendly staff. Prices are slightly above average, and at least the pasta portion was quite manageable.

I've never eaten such a delicious pasta dish. I had tagliatelle with white meat ragù. It was truly amazing. The service was super attentive and very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for the food. Overall, our best dinner yet 🥰

Hasen Jos is perfectly located in the old town of Merano, encased in a beautiful arcade. The restaurant is very well served by public transport, with bus stops a 5-minute walk away. For those arriving by car, paid parking is also available within a few minutes' walk. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating; reservations are not necessary. The decor is simple and functional. The staff was friendly and efficient. The menu offers a sufficiently large selection of delicacies. The food we ordered was good; everything tasted wonderful. The portions are rather small. The prices for both food and drinks are mid-range. Please note that cutlery (coperto) is charged separately. The restrooms were not clean; this may need to be addressed.

Recht gemütlich, sehr nette Bedienung. Das Wienerschitzel war klasse. Pastagericht hat enttäuscht, kaum Sosse. Getränke waren auch für Meran recht hoch.
