The now famous Sonia is an institution, and one expects a certain attention to detail and a better-than-average selection of raw materials... in reality, it's a place where you can eat fairly touristy cuisine, sweetened for our European palates with a few less common dishes but in line with the standards of Chinese restaurants. The prices, however, are inflated without any real justification in the quality... in fact... 6 euros for four tiny grilled dumplings that weren't even that tasty, the grilled pork spaghetti tasteless and full of oil, the fried chicken in spicy sauce is better. In short, neither good nor bad, the food is decent, like in any other Chinese restaurant; there's nothing special, but the prices are 20% higher. Aside from the place being plastered with photos of famous people, it's clean, but not even that typical. Service was approximate; they only served one starter at a time, with the dumplings in the middle, and we had to eat separately. Final rating: 6--

I'd already tried some takeout dishes years ago. It was my first time eating there for lunch, and it was a good experience. Quick service and excellent food. My husband and I tried a few suggested dishes on the menu and didn't regret it. Excellent value. I hope to return soon.

We walked by and went in without knowing it was so famous. In the end, we had a great meal: good food, fast service, and very affordable prices!

Very good. Be careful with the sauces and oils. They're quite heavy for me. Prices have risen a bit in recent years.

Got right in on a Saturday night at 7:15pm. Really enjoyed it! Nice change if you're traveling Italy and want to eat something different. I had pork dumplings, chinese veggies, and stir fried noodles. All were very tasty. Lots of Mao propaganda on the walls. I also saw a photo of Willem Dafoe with the owner above my table lol
