Hanami In Pavia

We returned after some time to this restaurant that has been present in the city for years. The formula, as always, is à la carte. We opted to dine at the counter. Without prejudice to the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff, we immediately noticed a strong smell of fish mixed with stagnant water. Perhaps it was due to the fact that being at the counter, we were facing the fridge display with its air circulation fan, but the feeling of bad odor accompanied us throughout the dinner, in fact we skipped dessert in order to be able to leave earlier, something that had never happened in the past despite having dined in the same position. Maybe it would be worth having the staff try to sit in the same spot and check the problem.

forse perché era pranzo e sono stata servita come una regina con tutta la calma e le attenzioni, il prezzo non è certo economico ma ho potuto gustare nuovamente la mia adorata ventresca di tonno e le fette di sashimi erano molto grosse (doppio dei normali ristoranti a la carte anche di milano centro). l'arredamento del locale lascia davvero molto a desiderare ma se la qualità e l'attenzione sarà la stessa anche la prossima volta che tornerò sarà sicuramente il miglior giapponese del pavese!

Hanami is absolutely one of the best sushi in Pavia. Being à la carte, the quality is perceptible in every bite, the fish is fresh, the combinations interesting, in short it is an experience. Yes, it's expensive, but every euro is worth being here, I hope. I recommend it very much.

I wanted to try this restaurant to vary from the usual All You Can Eat. I expected a huge difference in quality. In fact, as regards the fish, you could see that it was very fresh, the colors and the taste spoke for themselves... but everything else, nothing special. Very long service times. Almost two and a half hours for 7 courses and the starters were the last thing to arrive... price too high for what we ate: 80 euros for two for All You Can Eat portions, not restaurant ones, with only one bottle of water for the whole dinner without dessert or coffee otherwise we would have reached 100 euros.

I come to eat sushi here regularly, about once every two months. In the restaurant the quality and service are certainly constant and excellent, I highly recommend.

I really like this shop because I can guarantee to eat high quality sushi dishes. It is understandable that the owner is a foodie who quietly studies cuisine. This is a shop that is very respectful of food.

In this Japanese restaurant the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with kind service that immediately makes you feel at ease. The menu offers many options, including vegetarian ones (or with the possibility of modifications to make them so). The dishes are light, tasty and carefully prepared. The menu is very interesting and innovative, with a proposal that comes very close to the authenticity of Japanese cuisine.
