Gutkowskino In Siracusa

Considering the reviews, there are good and worse rooms. We had a good room on the 1st floor. Simple but clean and the shower is really excellent. Heater worked in winter too. Breakfast indeed simple but sufficient. Located in ZTL zone but hotel ensures permission. Free parking, however, requires an 8-minute walk across the bridge and can be a challenge in the morning and evening.

Hotel Gutkowski is the perfect place to stay to explore Isola di Ortigia the small island in the historical centre of the city of Syracuse and the southern area of Sicily. The city is very walkable and the hotel is well situated on the water’s edge on the eastern side. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean. The hotel has a common deck for an early evening drink to watch the sun set before dinner. The hotel dining room has a very good vegetable forward approach and well worth getting a reservation for. There is a large public pay lot a block away and it is patrolled.
