This place came as a recommendation from out Air Bnb and it did not disappoint. We put it on our walking route on our way to the Colosseum. We got there around 0900 and were greeted immediately, each time we had a question, the staff would say, "here let me show you" and we would walk inside to see what there was. The shaken iced coffee was perfection! It was a smooth cold espresso served in a class and hit the spot perfectly. We all had a little something to eat and everyone left full and happy. But really, go for the shaken ice coffee, so good!

It was a good experience. I don't understand some of the comments. The servers were friendly and made an effort to speak French. The area is well-connected and close to the metro. Lots of choices (though I wonder if the recipes are local?) A good view of the monuments. Thank you very much.

I was in the area for an appointment and went to Gusto Massimo for lunch last week. In order: Good food and a decent variety, home-style flavors (where the food is good!) that you wouldn't expect to find in a restaurant in that area. Service - Courteous and attentive staff. Ambience - The wonder of the Circus Maximus and the Palatine Hill in a welcoming and clean environment. At Gusto Massimo, you feel comfortable and you're well-priced. I recommend it.

The food was basically ok. The pizza was so-so but not bad. The pasta and carbonara sauce were well made. The bill was a rough estimate - written in pencil on a piece of paper and the staff rounded it up from 37.50 to 40 without asking. The place itself was average.

We ordered burgers, and besides being huge, they were also very good. (I recommend the chicken one the most.) They don't come with fries, but you can order them on the side. I definitely recommend them. Good place for dinner.

06/04/2025: Excellent cuisine, prices are quite reasonable, it depends on what you want to eat, welcoming environment.
17/03/2025: On the way home, after passing by several times, we decided to stop here for a pre-movie dinner, and even though we hadn't booked, they found us a table and kindly seated us. All the ladies were very kind during service, and since we weren't particularly in the mood for pizza, we opted for the fried foods and meat. The tagliata was perfectly cooked medium, tender, and delicious; the focaccia was exquisite, and the fried foods were quite good. Prices were all fair, and the service was quick and efficient. Recommended!
