30/07/2025: After a long time of being unable to book because it was always full, last night I finally had the opportunity to dine and taste some truly special and exquisite dishes.

28/07/2025: I was impressed by the quality of the food offered at Amole Osteria Multiculturale in Bologna: authentic and highly refined Chinese cuisine, led by chef Chao Zeng, who combines elegance and Sichuan flavors with carefully selected ingredients. The dishes—from squid ink dumplings to Bilanciere noodles, to Kung Pao chicken or braised duck—are crafted with extreme care, beautifully balanced between aesthetics and flavor (the average menu is around €20). That said, I found a few small flaws that prevented me from earning a full score: • The paper menus appear worn and disorganized: pages are loose, difficult to navigate, with blurry or incoherent text. • The service, while warm and occasionally friendly, seemed at times shoddy and inconsistent. Some waiters seem poorly trained, sometimes too pushy in their haste, and a smile doesn't make up for a lack of technical expertise. It's not a matter of friendliness; Preparation is key. These details—overlooked menus and service that doesn't live up to expectations—are small but impact the overall experience. However, the cuisine remains the true strength: authentic, original, and high-quality.
