This place has become a must-try for me every time I visit Salento. Words can't describe the mastery of the preparation and sophistication of the dishes. We're talking about fish cured meats! I don't eat meat or meat products, but I can say with certainty that their fish cured meats are every bit as good as real cured meats. Try them and believe them! Grab a platter, or a tuna porchetta, or a tuna veal stew, and tell me I'm wrong! All washed down with the local rosé... Top! But can we leave out the dessert that literally blows my mind? The frisamisú! I repeat, it's a must-try for me every time I visit. Unfortunately, it seems they're about to cut back on the opening flowers to focus more on their artisanal cured meats, which you can buy if you want 😉😉

Excellent place with original and refined offerings. The location isn't the prettiest, but Danilo is a great communicator with a real desire to offer good things. Recommended.

Everything was delicious! The staff were very friendly. The chef was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We ate well and drank very well. I highly recommend it and would happily return. The dishes are very unique, but if you like trying new things, this is the place for you.

We just returned from a lovely evening at this restaurant.
After dinner, we went on a culinary journey because the owner, Danilo, was super kind and, above all, very knowledgeable in explaining all the dishes and, especially, all the ingredients. Not being your typical seafood restaurant, Danilo explores new dishes, blending tradition and innovation beautifully, in our opinion.
A blend of local and even international ingredients.
We appreciate and value these types of cuisine, and especially people who have the courage to dare.
There's nothing to complain about the food. The same goes for the service (even though the other waitress didn't know the specials of the day—but I think it's a temporary substitution).
The flaw? The location. The restaurant's location doesn't pay off. If it were by the sea or in a city like Gallipoli, it would be 10 points more, but most likely also 10 euros more per dish. Very affordable, the quality is more than excellent.

The seafood is exceptional. The quality of the fish deserves 6 stars.
The appetizers are rich in flavor. The crostini with purple shrimp is the best dish on the menu.
The desserts are all delicious and original; the frisamisu is a brilliant idea.
Food: We ordered and shared several dishes, including two amberjacks. Maybe we were just unlucky, but everyone we shared them with said they were a bit tough. Overall, the flavor was excellent. Rating: 4/5

Originality in the dishes, refinement without ever losing sight of the star of the dish: the fish. And what fish! Quality raw materials, attention to pairings and allergens, zero preservatives, combinations that leave you speechless. And then shall we talk about Danilo? The chef-owner, a true fish craftsman, a visionary who has found a way to preserve, distill, ferment, and always maintain the purity of flavor. A force of nature! If you're in Puglia, head to Matino and I'm sure you'll leave wanting to return soon because this delightful restaurant makes you feel welcome and leaves you in a good mood. Meglio tardi che mai direi , posto già noto da tempo finalmente siamo riusciti a provarlo. Le specialità sono gli affettati di pesce , acquistabili anche in loco. Il posto si trova in una strada secondaria poco trafficata è arredato in maniera sobria e accogliente, Abbiamo provato un paio di primi eccezionali , come le orecchiette e un secondo "tonno porchettato" , molto gradevoli gli abbinamenti tipo le marmellate di frutta insieme al tonno . La chiusa perfetta sono stati i dolci tra cui il "Frisamisù" e il sorbetto alla Sambuca . Gentilissimo e preparato il titolare che ci ha spiegato tutti i piatti , prezzi in linea con la qualità del pesce.
Da provare e riprovare , molto consigliato !!
