We set outside, for lunch. The service was great and welcoming. For starters we took the anchovies and salty cheese cake. Both were generous and very good. After that we had the gnocchi with truffles that was tasty and well presented and the ossobuco which was good but side is extra charged and was plane and not generous. We took the waiter’s advice for wine and it wasn’t a great wine, just ok.

If you are planning a visit to Siena , this is a great spot, not to be missed. Had a fantastic lunch. Mostly locals in a lovely family run historic site. It is beautiful inside the food is incredible. We had the
vegetarian tasting menu. The handmade "pici pasta" is wow. It came with two different small veg souffles and homemade bean stew . The cheese cake is the best ever . The place is only 5 minutes from the Duomo on a little side street. We'll worth the search. Reservation suggested

Onestamente avevo in programma di sostare per pranzo in altro locale ma dovendo virare su altro posto all'ultimo minuto, il mio intuito fortunatamente (e come quasi sempre), m'ha portato a conoscere questa piccola gemma senese. Il locale di suo è già caratteristico dato che è stata ricavato all'interno di una grotta (grotta di S. Caterina). Il servizio e l'arredo del locale è di livello medio/alto. Primi e secondi della classica cultura culinaria toscana che hanno soddisfatto a pieno il ns palato (compreso il vino). La cosa che più m'ha convinto che mi trovassi nel posto giusto è stata che nel bel mezzo dell'ora di pranzo, s'è presentato un ricco gruppo di commensali senesi (o comunque della zona). In luoghi così turistici, se i locali mangiano in un ristorante del posto, per me è sempre sinonimo di garanzia...come il D.O.C.

We went for the first time on Wednesday February 18, 2025 on the recommendation of our hotel reception. And what a reason she had!!! We were very pleasantly surprised by the extremely friendly welcome and the very professional service of the two waiters who took care of us (Viola and Angelo), by the quality of the cuisine which well deserves the price (not at all excessive, by the way) and by the portions which are very correct, if we take into consideration what we encounter most often in Italy, especially in very touristy places. Finally, we ate our fill! For all these reasons we decided to book and come back the following evening on February 19, 2025. We were delighted again. What a shame, we had to leave the next morning, otherwise we would have liked to relive this wonderful experience :-)))

Excellence the environment and the service a little hidden in the alley unfortunately the mobile phone had a bit of difficulty in bringing us to the table quickly and discreetly the food and wine were excellent we had the amazing €55 menu on offer then the grappa to finish was obviously on offer, I highly recommend it

Tappa obbligata per chi a Siena non vuol fare il "turista". Sala accogliente e informale, servizio preciso e puntuale. Cucina veloce grazie al proprietario Pierino detto "Bagoga". Cibo di qualità: consiglio il peposo e la cheesecake ai frutti di bosco. Vino di loro produzione a Montalcino consigliato da Francesco. Prezzi più che onesti. Tappa obbligata e da non perdere. Bravi!
