EVERYTHING GOOD, ESPECIALLY THE EGGPLANT MEATBALLS, THE SWORDFISH EGGPLANT AND CAPERS PACCHERI, THE CLAMS SOUTE. THE SERVICE WAS FAST, EVERYONE WAS KIND. No I OBVIOUSLY RECOMMEND, SINCERELY AND HONESTLY EVERYTHING GOOD EVEN TODAY, AUGUST 9, 2022! FISH DUET!!!! It's always wonderful to return to La Grotta! I've watched this place grow and develop since 1989! It's part of my life, I hold in my heart and in my memory Maurizio, who started and grew this unique restaurant in Amantea year after year! And Rossella is continuing with Passion, Love, Imagination, and Dedication (in the footsteps of her father Maurizio), bringing and improving the restaurant to its best! I love this place and always highly recommend it, of course. Last night, August 6, 2025, we returned to La Grotta! I recommend the homemade appetizer with lots of tasty things, the pizza of your choice and a drink for €20!!

The pizza was good, the service excellent, and at the end of the meal they delighted us with a free dessert.

Visited on a warm summer evening, this restaurant with an outdoor seating area was a pleasant discovery. Karaoke entertainment at a moderate volume, perfect for creating a relaxed atmosphere. Abundant appetizers, good pizza, friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback: limited selection of drinks and limited parking. Average prices.

We were attracted by the layout of a cave room as well as by the dishes. Very kind staff and equally and even more welcoming, which in a restaurant does a lot and above all it is nice to be welcomed after a long day of travel or a hard day. The pan pizza was excellent, very light, fragrant and tasty. The really good starters: prawn and white fish cocktail with Tropea onion and peppered mussels on top. First courses: very good linguine with clams; Exceptional spaghetti with seafood. Second courses: grilled fish, unfortunately regarding this course we were disappointed because we expected the same level as the previous dishes since the quantity for the price was not what we expected, but it was probably compensated for by the appetizers that were offered to us; then the cooking of the swordfish was quite dry, the very dry prawns and the octopus rubber in the true sense of the word. Environment 1 star less, regarding the bathroom which could be improved with some precautions (hand soap and toilet paper "fortunately the women are always equipped for every need). But honestly, apart from the problem with the second course (which we told the management), we recommend it to try a new experience in an unusual place and probably the time we went was the wrong time for the second courses but for the rest of the courses we absolutely can't say anything about it. Very good quality/price making an overall consideration. The place also has a fairly large car park.
