In this case, I think it's just a matter of transparency and honesty, but otherwise the experience was positive, and I'd recommend this place.

We were browsing the market with the intention of eating there, and even though we were a bit hustled, we had a good time there. The food was good and sufficient, there were 6 of us and we ate for €14 each without dessert but with a drink... and there was a great atmosphere! No problem with the waitress, nor at the checkout, even if no one spoke Italian at our table...

We went for lunch today, and I'm saddened by the other reviews... tourists don't always understand that the market situation is very different from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The service was very fast, well-managed, cheerful, and the price was more than fair.

A unique experience! Excellent food and truly exquisite staff... prices are reasonable... If you want to eat good fish and have a good dance, this is the place to be!!! Highly recommended!

Sitting down and eating here means experiencing the beating heart of market life. Obviously, if you decide to eat here, you need to understand the "soul" of the place; otherwise, you'd be better off eating elsewhere. We were personally captivated. The icing on the cake: suddenly, the music was turned up and the locals started dancing, involving everyone in the room and passersby. Pure joy!

We visited this little seafood restaurant in the heart of the Ballarò market, and it was a truly unique experience! The place is small and very cheerful, with a lively and engaging atmosphere. The staff is truly amazing, incredibly friendly, and always smiling: they make you feel at home. We only tried the arancini with meat, which was simply exceptional, and the fried fish, crispy, tasty, and well-prepared. We didn't try the rest of the menu, but if the quality is the same, it's definitely worth returning. One slight downside: the place isn't exactly spotless, but honestly, the friendly staff and the informal atmosphere make up for it. A tip: install ventilation in the bathroom! Since it's next to the kitchen, stepping in is like a sauna: incredibly hot! Ultimately, an authentic, genuine place with a local flavor. Not perfect, but certainly memorable.

We went to this place inside the Ballarò market, which at first glance seems to be family-run. It must be said right away that you shouldn't expect a particularly clean place: it is located in the heart of the market and has a very rustic style, in line with the surrounding environment. That said, I don't take away points for cleanliness, because the atmosphere is part of the experience. Speaking of food, we ordered several dishes. The arancini, both with butter and with sardines, were both very good, although I definitely preferred the one with butter, more balanced in taste. Moving on to fish, unfortunately it was a disappointment: the swordfish was too dry, badly cooked, and the grilled vegetables were excessively greasy, with some vegetables completely tasteless. The octopus salad seemed to be made with fresh octopus, but it had no flavor and was also a bit tough. The waiters, on the other hand, were very kind, helpful and polite. The service was fast and the bill was more than fair, in line with a market meal: you spend little. In short: I would have preferred to try more dishes like the arancini, which really surprised us, while unfortunately the quality of the fish did not convince us.
