11/03/2025: Piazza very good and light, I ate 3 and they also offered us a digestive, a very clean and organized place that recalls the beautiful Rome of the past
10/03/2025: Exceptional. Too bad you can only give 5 stars and not more. I'll start by saying that we came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I knew that San Lorenzo is a guarantee for pizzas, but this was missing from the list, it was the only one you had never tried and I was happy about that. Very clean place with kitchen and wood oven in sight, cheap, organized and historic. Suitable for families, couples and groups of young people. Kind, polite and friendly staff, all young people. Full of photos, the tables with paper tablecloths like once upon a time, you could really breathe the smell of old Rome and those times gone by. We sit down and order. We are a group that eats particularly a lot, at least 2 pizzas each in normal pizzerias, but here the lightness of the dough and the quality of the product meant that I ate, in fact, 4 and 1/4 pizzas. In my case I tried a 4 cheese, the best I have ever tasted, creamy, melting, fine, crunchy and light. A diavola, with finally a quality spicy salami, also tomato and mozzarella. And to go back to being children, 2 margheritas, sausages and chips, which seems obvious, but that was also excellent. During the dinner we realize that between the laughter and general fun even the waiters and the others sitting at the tables were looking at us satisfied, as if it were a challenge. In the end, after 18 pizzas for 7, we decide to order one last one. A simple red, a waiter who had particularly taken a liking to us and our dinner decides, during his dinner break, to get up and personally make us this last pizza, which he offered us, a simple red that ended this evening perfectly. As if that were not enough, they tell us that they usually offer a digestive at the end of the meal which we gladly accept. Later talking to the staff my friend says it is his birthday and they decide to offer us a bottle. We thank them for the wonderful evening they gave us, we thank them and we leave. Taking with us, the memory of this beautiful unforgettable evening.
19 pizzas in 7, no one was upset, no one felt sick, all the pizzas were very light and digestible.
I knew that in San Lorenzo, wherever you go, the pizza is good, there are the best in Rome. But the Podista, in my opinion, wins the award for best pizzeria in San Lorenzo, the best, among the best.
If you don't go, you don't know what you're missing, if you don't like it, you don't understand a thing…
