It's alright but there's better around

Great if you're a price conscious tourist, and want to sit with others like it in a very over lit environment and eat food that is definitely not bad but definitely nothing special. Service was good but there is little ambition in the food.

Afrer living 3 years in Rome, this was by far the best spaghetti alla carbonara that I tried. I couldn't say how everything was made perfect (spaghetti al dante, creaminess of the sauce, crispiness of the guanciale and the overall taste). The waiters were always available and very kind and we felt welcomed (not like some restsurants to bother you so much by asking to order quickly something). I come back for sure here!

A true gem. I recommend the menu at a very fair price. Outstanding appetizers. First course: a choice of great Roman classics. Second course: lamb or cheek in Cesanese wine. Excellent wine list. Fast and super professional service.

Tasting menu was okay, but some dishes were cooked poorly.

We took the tasting menu. The starting dish was good. We liked the meat ball especially. However, The pasta and main dishes were disappointing. For main dish we took the cod fish which came with spinach and had very strong taste of olive oil which was hard for me to eat, and several fish bones came out of the fish. The cheek was ok, but didn’t meet our expectations. Desert was nice.

Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. The panzanella and the cordoni di frate with white sausage ragù, pumpkin, and smoked ricotta were truly delicious. Unfortunately, the spaghetti alla carbonara was rather underwhelming.

Durante una breve vacanza a Roma, abbiamo trascorso qui il nostro pranzo domenicale. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici della tradizione romana ed erano tutti buoni. Data la posizione strategica consiglio una sosta qui, non è una trappola per turisti e si mangia bene. Prezzi adeguati.

We went for dinner here on a friend's recommendation—arrived without a booking and were told they were full, but after a short wait they kindly found a table for us. First impressions were great, and the tasting menu got off to a flying start with truly spectacular starters. The kind of dishes that make you pause mid-bite and nod in appreciation. Mains were solid, but (being a bit pedantic here) I expected a bit more from a place listed in the Michelin Guide. That said, dessert was an unexpected highlight—simple but memorable. Homemade ricotta mousse with sour cherries: creamy, tart, unpretentious perfection. The wine list deserves its own mention—a literal tome packed with excellent options. We went with an organic Puglian red that delivered beautifully. Service was efficient and friendly throughout. If you’re in Rome and appreciate food that leans traditional but with real substance, it’s worth a visit.
