I want to extend a special thank you to Ana and Elena, two extremely kind, professional, and always smiling waitresses. They welcomed us warmly, gave us excellent advice, and made us feel right at home. It's rare to find such attentive and thoughtful people. My compliments! We'll definitely be back, thanks to them.

What can I say? If you want to eat a special pizza, you have to come and try it. The service is excellent, the pizzas are visually very interesting, and the first bite is an explosion of very well-balanced flavors. Highly recommended.

Style and memory in the heart of Mondovì. Open since 1929 in the heart of Breo, Gran Caffè Aragno is a city landmark, where a break takes on a relaxed and sober tone. Under the porticos or in the bright interior spaces, the atmosphere invites you to stop: coffee, ice cream, desserts and Neapolitan-inspired dishes always offer carefully prepared proposals. There are numerous tables, inside and out, and the staff stands out for their kindness and attention. Once home to the city chess club, the place retains a deep cultural and social imprint. An unforgettable evening in which I played chess with Atul, an Indian chess player who came specifically to challenge me: they seated us at the raised tables and, shortly after, some young people joined, ordering at the bar and contributing spontaneously to the local economy. Frequented by a heterogeneous clientele, especially in the summer it becomes a meeting and leisure place. The bathrooms, although small, are functional. A coffee to be enjoyed with pleasure and respect. A corner of history that continues to build community.

La garanzia quando vuoi portare fuori a cena amici/parenti, se non hai tempo di cucinare a casa ma vuoi un posto che "sappia" un pó di casa! Personale gentile, a cui piace scambiare due parole al bancone, tempi di attesa minimi, ampia scelta, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Panino al polpo Gourmet e Caponata Caprese approvati. Se non si fosse capito: CONSIGLIATO 100%

25/06/2025: The restaurant is showing its age, but the landlady is very friendly and gives her all. We had a very pleasant conversation with her. The food is typically local and very good. The value for money is very good. Please note: No longer a hotel. Only a restaurant.
19/05/2025: Historic restaurant in the center of Canale. Good food, careful presentation, typical Piedmontese menu with revisited 80s menus. Attentive and attentive service. Worth a try. We have not tried the rooms

24/06/2025: The bar and restaurant close early. Not very pleasant.
21/06/2025: This hotel is very much into cost cutting and skimping. No anti-slip mat in shower, one very uncomfortable pillow per bed, no tea making facilities in room. Probably best to bring your own facilities and also some toilet paper, as bathroom furnished to a very bare level. Advertised a coffee/drinks bar on ground floor but in reality, this was mainly unstaffed so not in order. When we asked one time, they said they'd no draught beer, another time, they were closed by 10:30! Gym not up to much either, like coffee/drinks bar, just bare minimum, not up to functioning but ticks the box for their ads. Air con in room really poor and doesnt fall below 22. Breakfast worst I've seen. Very narrow selection, mainly UPF and cardboard or stale, only one type of very thin white UPF bread at toaster. No fresh salads. After day 2, I settled for some stale All Bran, then got decent food in a local cafe - could really taste how fresh the croissants in cafe were after eating the food in this hotel. Roof top restaurant did very nice food when open. Location very covenient. This hotel has excellent potential but for now, it's clearly all about the profits. Service is not on the agenda in this hotel. Hotel Scrooge!
