Govinda In Milano

Wonderful little place for vegetarian and vegan cuisine. The food was excellent, and the set menu allows you to try five different dishes. The service was excellent; we immediately felt welcomed thanks to the immense kindness. I recommend booking because the place is intimate and quite crowded; you also have to visit the small temple located below the restaurant! I really hope I have the opportunity to return!

Delicious food, cooked with love. Marika in the dining room was truly professional and kind. I'll definitely be back 🤗 The atmosphere is nice, but a little cold and bare. The vaulted ceilings in the main dining room are beautiful.

My mom and I wanted to try this wonderful place after a recommendation, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was super family-friendly, not to mention the delicious dishes (I'm vegetarian, so I had the entire menu to myself (not to mention the vegan options). From appetizer to dessert, it was an experience truly worth trying, with unique flavors and a unique atmosphere! Well done!

The food is delicious, and should be enjoyed following the various recommendations given. It's genuine, plentiful, and colorful. The atmosphere is serene and positive, and the people who welcomed us were kind. I recommend it.

Govinda • After a period of closure, Govinda, the Hare Krishna community restaurant, has reopened. Gone are the large round tables where you could sit and meet people of various cultures during your lunch break, speaking English. The tables are now set and arranged in the traditional way in the fifteenth-century dining room. You can choose between a vegetarian or vegan menu, or request a smaller three-course menu including soup, spiced rice, and vegetables. The bowls of food are placed on a circular tray, starting with the salad and then rotating clockwise to conclude the journey through the flavors of Indian cuisine. Soft drinks and carafes of water flavored with lemon and orange slices are served. At the end of the meal, you can order dessert, which varies daily. You can ask for seconds for a particular dish you particularly enjoy, but despite the small size of the bowls, you'll feel full at the end of the meal. The prices are reasonable for the quality: the basic menu costs 16 euros, the other 22. The restroom has been renovated and is no longer located on the lower floor, where you can still visit the small community temple. Reservations are recommended, and membership is no longer required. The service is prompt, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

My favorite place in Milan. I've been there several times over the past two years, and I can say it's always a wonderful experience. The staff is super friendly, cheerful, and welcoming. The restaurant offers traditional Hare Krishna dishes (vegetarian and vegan) at fair prices and generous portions (you can ask for seconds on any dish). The small temple downstairs immerses you even more in a culture and religion waiting to be discovered. For those interested and fascinated by this culture, there are books available for purchase to delve deeper into the local culture and cuisine. Highly recommended!

We tried the vegetarian Tali. The flavors were delicious and took me back to the wonderful years I spent in India. They were incredibly kind, especially Jonathan, for the service they provided! A special mention to the temple below the restaurant! ❤️
