visited at late night. Maybe around 9pm. The service was on the point. One of the best I’ve ever felt in the whole restaurants I’ve visited in Europe. I asked for mint jelly but they didn’t have it. But instead of just walking away they gave me some fresh mint. That is the End of converstation on service. Food tasted authentic. Felt like every single bit was tooken care of. Highely reccomend the red snapper pasta.

The tasting menu was perfect for two, and it was delicious. The wine was excellent, and the atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. I went there because the nearby Michelin star restaurant said it wasn't open, but on the way back to my hotel after eating, I noticed it was still open. Still, it was so good that I didn't regret not having a Michelin star!

If you're visiting Taormina and fancy a good meal, Gourmet 39 is a highly recommended option. We tried several dishes, and the experience grew in quality as the meal progressed. The food was expertly prepared with high-quality ingredients. For starters, we had pasta with eggplant topped with ricotta—perfectly balanced, flavorful, and well-blended, the kind you'll want to order again. Next came ravioli filled with the catch of the day, accompanied by a rich and well-crafted shellfish sauce, with a taste of the sea without being heavy. The following course was tagliatelle with meat ragu—classic, comforting, and perfectly prepared, respecting Italian tradition. To finish, we had octopus risotto, cooked to perfection, creamy, and with tender octopus, a truly excellent ending to the meal. Overall, the cuisine is carefully crafted, with clear flavors and generous portions. It's an ideal place to sit down, relax, enjoy Sicilian gastronomy, and savor a delicious meal in the heart of Taormina. I ate the best lamb chops and tagliatelle with bolognese sauce I've had recently, two days in a row. Maybe I overdid it a bit :)
