Excellent food, unique spartan atmosphere and refined food, a little expensive

Golino’s Bistro was without a doubt our favorite restaurant during our visit to Rome. We felt right at home from the very first evening – so much so that we dined there two nights in a row. We were particularly impressed by the exceptionally friendly and attentive service, which created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The open kitchen concept is a real highlight: you can watch the chefs at work, which is not only fascinating but also inspires great confidence in the quality and freshness of the food. The cuisine was top-notch. The signature dish was superb; the octopus was simply outstanding, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. We were equally impressed by the Pasta Brasato Blastato, which was incredibly aromatic and perfectly balanced – an absolute must-try! Golino’s Bistro provided the perfect culinary finale to our stay in Rome. We will definitely return on our next visit to Rome and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent experience. The restaurant opened relatively recently (I think it was 2018), and in a certain sense, it's still underdeveloped. However, this was a positive aspect for me, as unlike other places, the relationship with customers is very sincere and direct, which I appreciate. As for the food, it's good, with just the right amount of originality and the right pairings. The real highlight is the restaurant's signature dish, the tagliolini with beurre blanc and raw shrimp, but the braised beef and cauliflower are also good. Perhaps I would have added a pinch of salt to everything, but the place, the staff, and especially the (very friendly) chef are worthy of praise. I'll be back!

I wanted to try spaghetti all’assassina and Google (maps) lead me here, literally. I read the other reviews and concur. It was so comfortable eating in a neighborhood bistro instead of being reeled into a tourist trap. Since I was the first to arrive chef/owner and I chatted for 10-15 minutes before even ordering.

Perfect way to end our Roman family trip. Excellent food and service.

Small but perfectly formed bistro where Chef Golino shows how inventive Roman food is done, well. My eggplant parmesan was crisp on the edges, smooth and creamy in the middle with a tart bite from the rich tomato sauce, topped with fresh and very melty mozzarella. A lava flow of deliciousness. For my Primi I tried their most popular dish and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked tagliolini pasta with sweet chunks of fresh prawn confit. The sauce brought the two together with buttery earthy magic. There was much more on the menu that I want to try, this was a very good meal. Recommended, well worth a trip up to Monteverde to sample this excellent restaurant. Make a reservation though!

Andrea has a passion for his work. Here, everything is delicious and cooked with passion in a transparent setting (open kitchen). A contemporary restaurant just the way I like them; serious, trendy but not pretentious. Patrick, his server, warmly welcomed us and helped us with our choices. Thank you to both of them.
